Really? Dude, I wouldn't be surprised. Celebrate what you can, I guess. Ever hear Richard Pryor talk about what the fuck were the Japanese thinking when they bombed pearl harbor? He sums it up best, was on the here and now concert he did. They must have known something like that was going to happen, the fuck were they thinking? Anyways, if they celebrate pearl harbor day, I can't blame them. I can't get behind it and support it, but if I was Japanese and you dropped an A-bomb on my ancestors i'd fuckin hate us too, it's understandable. They were having deformed babies over there for years afterward, mutant type shit. I fully understand why they hate us. I don't feel bad for them, but I understand.
They did issue warnings that they were coming but the States allowed it to happen so it could drag them deeper in war. Lots of evidence to back that up.
When they said “give up or we'll destroy you”, no one outside of military really knew what the bomb was capable of. The excuse to make it was because Germany was on to it first; Einstein wrote a letter and suggested we better hurry up in case they figure it out…..Germany surrendered so we didn't need to use it.
Allies dropped that shit anyways, on the farthest thing from Germany they could.

Unless you lived in Halifax during the first World War. Still the reason today why Boston has more in common with no other city other than Halifax, and vice versa. Thank you, New England.

I believe you may right about that. First we fed munitions to the Chinese to help defend against Japanese invasion. They saw that as an act of war. Then on top of that we cut off their petroleum sources and poured salt into the wound. So they(we) try to incite japan to attack as a means of going to war with Germany. FDR knew the public was against invasion, and Germany wouldn't fire on us first. So he used japan as a means to an end. A way to wage his war against Germany.
They almost did the same thing after the “bay of pigs” fiasco. Dubbed “Operation Northwoods”, it was a plan by the joint chiefs of staff to plan domestic terrorist attacks against people of the U.S. in order to have a reason to invade Cuba…..
That being said let's not pretend that the U.S. are the only savage 1st world countries in this world….If Japan/Germany would have won that war, I highly doubt we would have been treated as well as we treated them

Well they kinda did. They both had visions of expanding their borders under the pretense of rooting out communism . Which is why they signed the pact in the first place. You are right they they never coordinated on a large military scale like the allies did, but they had quite a bit to do with each other.

Population was 50,000. 3,000 dead and around 10,000 injured. 25 thousand people left homeless

If they did somehow manage to get a ballistics system going, I'm pretty sure we'd shoot it down loooonnggg before it made it over here.Maybe i'm wrong, but don't we have laser systems set up across the world for that exact reason? I'd wager if anything it would be brought in by a cargo ship and detonated manually

This is probably weird but I find a certain beauty in a mushroom cloud…Don't know exactly what it is… That is some scary shit at the same time. If North Korea ever perfects it we might have some trouble. We aren't like china and have fucking underground cities in case something like that happens
We'd be fucked. At least our leaders have tunnels and bunkers to go to You ever see the 50's nuclear warning videos for kids they showed them in school? – Drop and cover your head with a newspaper
Everyone forgets China is on NK's side. They're like China's middle finger to the world.

i wouldnt worry too much about it, unless you live next to a priority nuclear target. like me.
north america is pretty big. north korea will never have anywhere near enough fissile material to construct the number of weapons that would be required to really destroy it. most likely, china wont, either.
they probably could cut the heart out of, say, a dozen or so of the major port cities, but only if every single break goes their way.
'duck and cover!' classic.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

I think it's like 3,000 total we know of that China has, but we admit we don't know the total number because they started making them in the underground tunnels. They are purchasing our oil companies (Canada) and need our fresh water so I doubt they would directly hit everywhere, but I'd expect one hell of a fire show over my head from intercepted ones, assuming they go the direct route over the north pole. They are ready for two waves of attacks and I'd guess Russia would join in for the third wave if it all kicked off.
