Im not trying to come on here and bitch, but I will say that it seems ICP needs someone who is more “in the field” with juggalos to book gotj. It seems that the most successful (as far as responses and excluding method man) acts at the gathering tend to be hip hop. Instead of booking artists that open for abk on a tuesday in montana, ICP should seriously look into the big dogs of underground hip hop. One artist in particular that I feel would be a HUGE hit at the gathering, would be immortal technique. Last year I saw ninjas wearing his merchandise, and ran in with many juggalos who felt the same way. He sold 60,000 on the underground on his last record, and has a pretty large following. The Village people may be fun, but I guarantee you an act like that is at least 10 grand, which is the equivalent to booking ICP at a venue. There are MANY artists who would play the gathering and are much cheaper than some of the novelties ICP forces us to endure. Lets get some Jedi Mind Tricks, and hell maybe even roll the dice on odd future.
I think this year, like they said, will have a lot of rock focus. I personally love that decision, unless its headlined by limp bizkit…..Im not dissing LB but if they are one of the “big” acts, I think juggalos may be a little disappointed.
