I watched this about a month ago when it first came out. Ron paul is the last of a basically dead breed of politicians. I don’t expect any of you to sit through it, but if even one of you watch it and take something from it then i’d be a happy man. It starts around the 3:40 mark. He breaks down bit by bit what is wrong with this country and what can be done to help it

normally, i dont much like republicans. citizens, that is, i dont really like many politicians at all, any party.
paul is an exception, the rare republican who doesnt come off as, well, a republican.
I thought he was a Libertarian.

. I don't much like anyone on either side of the spectrum. This is one political speech that is worth listening to if you haven't though. This is his last speech so he throws all that partisan bullshit out the window and speaks as an american and a human being.
It is vitally important that as many people hear this speech as possible. Though I have good reason to believe that like yourself nobody will bother to sit through it…

yeah, but he ran for the republican nomination last year. hes noted for 'libertarian' views, but i believe hes not actually a party member.
i think he ran as libertarian in the 90s.
edit: is this his last speech as in, most recent, or as in, final? i hadnt heard he was retiring or anything.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

I've heard this man's name before, but I've never heard him speak. That's a BIG mistake on my part. This guy is probably one of my new favorite speakers. Every man and woman should be forced to watch this to be granted the right to vote. It's a shame he retired. He could've defended the right to own assault rifles.

Ron Paul is a bumbling buffoon who has a handful of good ideas, but is just as flawed as every other elected politician in the United States government. Ron Paul is not some kind of savior or saint, he is very racists, he does not support Americans with disabilities, and his idea for the gold standard is not to benefit the American people, but to benefit his friend who owned a precious metal company (look it up if you're so fond into looking deeper). Liberitarians are just their to keep people involved into politics, when people should really just stop voting.

He runs as a republican for one reason and one reason only. People in America are bipartisan only. They'll vote for republican or democrat blindly, so if you run as a republican (which his views are more like), you're more likely to pick up a bunch of bias votes on the logic “oh that dude is republican.” Jesse Ventura did this in Minnesota, running as a Republican, then switching over to Independent shortly after (or vice versa).

Nobody should be forced to watch anything, and if you're forced to watch it, you should be forced to read his papers in which he was extremely racist. His excuse was that somebody else wrote it under his name, but these papers were published for years on end. If you bring them up to him, he gets extremely upset and refuses to answer questions about them. I would love to link you the video in which Ron Paul is insensitive towards Americans with disabilities, but for some reason it is being censored out and now a private link. That's a dude I want to vote for.
Also, coming from a state and area of my state that is very pro-gun, I still have yet to find a reason for why Americans deserve an assault rifle. What is the purpose for an assault rifle? You can actually own assault rifles too, btw, they are just semi-automatic. I'm going to assume you don't know the gun laws in your state. And even according to Ron Paul, that would be a state issue, so I don't see how he could in anyway affect that issue… You hipsters really should research your shit instead of being mesmerized by someone who is literally just trying to appeal to you.
Ron Paul has voted on a few bills in which would make him seem like a good politician, but so did a few others that you idiot hipsters never mention. You've become bias and brainwashed by another side who's only purpose is to distract you and keep you involved in their system. You've been duped

lol lost all credibility there… got proof???
*Cough* had you actually done your research on Ron Paul, you'd know this. This is an issue that he does not like to speak about, and says that someone else published it under his name…….. for years on end. Yeah, that's likely.

Here's an article I found a while back that maybe some of you hipsters can give up your bias on to check out
