Came up with this topic idea last night. Piggybacking off of Joe Bruce's confession of how shitty he feels about his anti-gay rants in past tracks.
We have all done dumb shit. Spiteful shit. Even hateful shit.
Fuck, I knew a guy that had a swastika tattooed on his forehead that he didnt remove until he met the right woman.
I have some shameful tales, but let's hear yours first.
What did you do (or not do) that you wish you hadn't now? Do you regret it or are you at peace with it? What is regret? Are you currently making choices that make you question them on some sub-level of your conscience? What would you do now if faced with the same ordeals?

last year, I installed some games & emulators on my computer KNOWING it could crash it, which is why I waited until I finished my project to do so.. it crashed & I now have 3 similar computers & non of 'em are able to run my old ass pro tools.. this has been my most glaring regret lately..
hmmm, i recently let my cat out to chase a lizard & ever since she just wants to be outside all day.. so now I gotta worry about her..
more along the lines of the thread I have a lot of raps I've wrote that I'm super embarrassed by now.. not because of insensitivity but just because I know when I wrote it I was tryin to come across as smart & profound..

Our cat has been with us for the last four places we have lived, and the first place he was outside a lot but was missing for 10 days. Turns out he was trapped in some neighbor's hot garage. He survived. Our other cat, a stray, ended up getting hit by a car. So the more indoor cat survived over the stray, go figure... then we had to move way out in the sticks and he disappeared the first night we let him out and returned the next night at ten pm. I cried lol.. he loved it up there. We had to move again, to a horrible apartment. Couldnt let him out there. Moved here and he loves it. Not far from the first place, really.
So yeah, he may become a happy indoor/outdoor cat.

I worked with this kid on an Air Force Base in NC. He did basic training and did fine, but when he found out that the place he was headed to was giving him something like a 90% chance of quick death, he left the military. His dad, another military man, was traumatized by his son's choice. Made me feel bad for the goofy kid.

the death rate was not why I left it was the work rate
you are expected to be in amazing shape at all times and your firefighter crew is your family not much room for outsiders
it's the same reason I dropped out of wrestling shit was a lot of hard work and I started off with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn lasted a year and said fuck it I like poutine too much for this shit.
now both Kevin and Sami won both their wrestlemania matches this year and are both millionaires but I still don't regret the wrestling part as much as the firefighter part.
firefighters are real heroes and it's too late to start again, life would have been real different if I stuck with it but of course I could be dead the statistics are something like 1 in 50 firefighters end up with some kind of high level of trauma and it's eve bigger for deployed people in the military.

Burned down a giant field on accident when I was ten
Went back to same field after they start building a neighborhood and broke my ankle running down a dirt mound.
Started smoking 🚬
Stabbed myself in the hand trying to cut a zip tie off a toy gun. Got stitches.
Was mean to a kid for no reason in 7th grade. The last time I did it and still feel guilty all these years later.
Didn't do any of my school work and floated by on doing well on tests.
Missed a job making 25 an hour at ford when I was 18 because i failed for marijuana.
Bought a double wide without having it inspected. Water heater went out a month later and need a new roof.
That, in order, is the dumbest of the dumb shit ive done so far. Plenty of time to fuck up more though.

Idk. The other day I bombed a hill with no protection other than a stone cold face. Had to have been going like 30. On a small little skateboard. Mad speed wobbles I almost ate shit.

- When I was 4, I lied to my parents and said I was going to the neighbors and went to the park. Except I got lost and ended up a few miles away. A family stopped and called my parents.
