I have no problem with straight pride, but you obviously don't understand that gay pride is more about celebrating people that overcome the adversity they face for their sexuality rather than the sexuality it's self.

I used to go to an lgbt club, not anymore because of some stupid drama, but we met in a church of all places, and the reason was was that their old location was burnt down in an act of Arson, and out of everyone in the club I'd say about 5 hadn't been victims of some sort of bullying or something along those lines.

And I don't even have time to link all the anti-lgbt propaganda you've no doubt come across, especially recently (remember that whole youtube ad controversy, where people got mad at youtube for treating our opponents like everyone else? Even though I think the idea that they shouldn't be allowed to advertise their beliefs is stupid, and the creators should take the money and laugh at how they got paid by their enemies, it still does show how desperate people are to hate on us).

I still stand by a point I made here a long while ago, every place is different, every gay person from every area will have different experiences, and some places (whether people admit it or not) there is an air of supremacy, echo chamber bullshit, and cisphobia/heterophobia, and, even in places where their presence is not accepted, you can still find all of that among their community. It's some of the most toxic shit ever, but do keep in mind this discrimination against straight people being accepted is not the standard, I'll always call it out when I see it (I think the most common one that urks me is the double standard that shit tons, if not the literal majority of gay people have where they believe its okay for them to hit on a straight person but not the other way around) but when you look at the world as a whole, we are not on top even slightly, and it's perfectly okay to celebrate the victories you do have, as well as enjoy seeing other people like you at the for front, because, well, we're a minority and so we don't get to see each other in the media a lot, this is in no way anybody's fault, it's just how numbers work.

Lgbt pride is about celebrating the victories of the past (gay marriage for example), and standing together against all the bullshit I linked above, yes, some winy entitled bitch asses will use it to be hateful and feel better than others, but they are a vocal minority, not the majority.
