Oh' and Japan is heavily preparing for and on high alert for North Korea to fire (potentially) nuclear tipped missiles at them this month, presumably the 25th. Several U.S. Aegis Class destroyers and ground Patriot missile batteries are ready to intercept, but statistically if they fired, say, 32 missiles at least 1 would get through. Poor Japan...everyone likes nuking them. Either way, if this shit happens, best expect NATO, mostly us, are about to get called to another war. A real one this time. Same goes for if China takes military action against any of the smaller nations around it that it's been bullying recently. Or if Russia sends the 40,000 troops it has amassed along the Eastern Ukrainian border into the country to occupy it for "peace keeping" purposes. I smell a horrible multi-nation conflict brewing fellas...I don't like it.

in short, the three biggest players, on the global stage, as far as warfare is concerned, are us three.
since world war ii [really during, and because of, wwii], the positions that the three take, as far as how we get along [or dont] with each other, or who supports which side of whatever international beef, have been the fundamental considerations for every global policymaker in the world.
biggest reasons for this:
1- nuclear weapons. effective nuclear weapons, and lots of em. the biggest of the big sticks, this fact cannot ever be ignored.
2- militarily, all three are modern, well-motivated, well-equipped for long term warfare, and considered the model standard by all of their allies and satellite states.
3- money. that is to say, economic power. this kinda goes without saying.
4- the people. now, when i say that, i dont mean raw population figures, or whatnot, i mean the unifying characteristics of the respective cultures.
i could go on and on about this stuff.
