I agree on the 2PAC and Biggie being overrated remark. I remember when they were alive, and NO ONE said shit about them being the greatest of all time, either one of them, until they got shot. They both had good albums, especially Biggie's first and 2PAC's first two albums, but everything else is pretty bad. It's honestly a shame with Pac, as his money hungry mom ruined his memory by releasing, what? 10 albums after he died? And not one of them was worth a shit. Just scrapped up what they could without realizing there was probably a reason he never released certain songs: Because they suck. Dude just had a good voice, he was far from a lyrical genius. I'd compare him to Master P, another overrated rapper. They rhymed car and bar more often than not, was nothing special going on there. Biggie had some great lyrics and could get creative as fuck, but he wanted millions of dollers and fame and made songs with Puffy and Mase. Shit was mainstream bullshit. If Biggie never met Puffy, his career would've been different I think. Not nearly as much fame and money, but he never would have put out Hypnotize, and I challenge anyone to find a problem with that. Even on songs like What's Beef you have Puffy's bitch ass talkin' in the background about what beef is, which kills it for me. Puffy is not tough, stop talkin' about the streets and how hard you are. Shit still pisses me off. Always in the background sayin' bad boy ughhh make 'em dance make 'em dance ughhh remix bad boy remix make em dance bad boy. Shit happened all the time, was embarrassing and makes listening to Biggie's shit impossible sometimes.
