@sexylette420 i was discussing this a few days ago with somebody. The whole not wanting to have kids thing because of how shit is these days. I mean really, all I have to do is take off my headphones right now and be instantly reminded why some people feel the way you do. I firmly believe it is a mixture of bad parenting and a collapse of a moral foundation in society. It’s becoming more and more plausible that “God” may just be a fairy tale. And that will have an impact. It already has. But it’s too late to turn back now. I’m not an expert by any means, im just a humble observer.

This might start an argument, but I want to make a few things clear:
I have no problem with religion if it helps you be a better person, but saying it is the ROOT of morality is ridiculous. I am going to give examples on why using Christianity, because I was raised Christian.
Yahweh told Abraham to murder his son, basically saying “if you loved me you’d do it”. Later in the Old Testament he has a king sacrifice his daughter and does NOT intervene. According to the Old Testament if you rape a woman you marry her and everything is dandy. Yahweh ordered the complete annihilation of multiple cities. Every single man, woman, and Child. Yahweh sent down bears to maul children because they made fun of a prophet for being bald.
I could go all day with this shit.

I’ve made my opinions on feminism pretty clear on here. I am a woman but I don’t think women are comparable to men. We are emotionally driven beings which doesn’t work in certain areas like government or military. Feminists want to fight so hard to fight on the front line. Think about this. My fiance did three tours of duty with the mos 11b (infantry)–12 months each. He can count on his hands how many showers he was allowed to take due to being on makeshift fobs in the center of the fight. It just wasn’t able to be done. Now, women cannot remain hygenically healthy without proper care if their nether-regions. They’d suck up all the va money trying to claim chronic yeast infections. Its just NOT logical.

Look back 50 years ago, no shit things still weren’t perfect for entirely different reasons, but people looked out for each other, people worked hard, kids were raised in strong households and brought up with strong values, you could trust strangers 9 times out of 10, I could go on but I’ll leave it there. And what’s the x-factor here that stands out most to me? Back then, 9 out of 10 people were church/temple/etc. goers. And brought up with values, taught to them in the religious texts of their religion, which instilled those qualities in them. Now-a-days, sorry for focusing on Christianity so much but being one it’s the one I can speak from the most, Christians are written off as jesus-freaks, ridiculed as ignorant, spat upon, etc. Athiesm is “cool”, and I can’t say “God Bless You” when someone sneezes without some fucking lemming sneering at me, making a reference to tosh.0, or getting offended that I dare wish my God’s blessing upon them without knowing who they worship, if anything. And what are the values of this Godless nation we live in? Sex, Money, Fame, Personal Gain, and fuck anyone that gets in my way. Just my opinion, unpopular as it maybe

God in the old testament was an entirely different entity than God in the new testament. God was wrathful, and harsh. He sent direct, strong, and often violent messages to those who flagrantly disregarded His teachings. Why? Because people are stupid. This took a huge emotional toll on Him. God wasnt killing or punishing people because He wanted to. God loves all creation, we’re His children. That’s why God sent us Jesus. Jesus taught us once and for all the righteous path, he laid it all out. Since then, God has been pretty hands-off, because now He doesn’t need to send us burning bushes, great floods, or raining fire. Because we know what’s what. It’s in our hands now.
