Transmission in my jeep finally died. I have a CVT type that's only good for around 100,000 - 125,000 mi (wish I knew that before I bought the vehicle).

I'm at 187K (fitting number). I'm about 5min from home , but it's up a crazy steep hill. Currently sitting at local bar, with my new bartender friend Ginger, drinking budweiser and jameson hoping the transmission cools down enough to make it.

You sound like Smack here, dissing on people's beer... but I agree. Budweiser gives me and several others an instant headache, it's bizzar. Not Bud Light, though.

Carnivalkilla44 reminds me of a crazy story from my own life.

I'll edit it down to the basics because it's long and I don't feel like typing it all tonight.

If you want to hear the entire story I'll do it later but basically:

- got in a fight with a guy

- tried to run him over afterward

- years pass, I return to college as an older student finish up my degree

- my transmission completely fails on way up the steep hill to the college

- immediately the guy I ran over, who is also on his way to the college, drives by and sees me, and offers me a ride

- haven't seen him since. My friend said he is somewhere in South America, begging people online for money to get home, because gang members keep beating the shit out of him and robbing him.

The details and backstory are even crazier.

Made it home. Uber tomorrow to meet my coworker for carpool is $17. Hopefully have some lucrative side work this weekend then gotta grab a beater car quick.
