Taking a few minutes on my 20 at work to just, think about how far I've come in the last few years.
Right around when covid was starting, I was in a really bad place -entirely unrelated to covid but it's a good way to place this all out on a timeline- home life situation sucked ass. Depressed, working a shitty deadend job barely scraping by. Reconnected with an old friend and we started dating, quit my job and moved out to Georgia to be with her but that shit sucked and we broke up after a few months and I flew back to Oregon.
Now? I'm making great money. Planning my wedding; just got the last few things we needed for the reception so we're all good and ready. Weddings on Halloween, reception is November 20th. The next few weeks are gonna be busy as hell but it's really nice looking back on how bad shit was and just going...damn I've come up a LOT.

Trying to prepare for next week, our best friends we made while living in Colorado are flying in to visit us for a couple days. It's pretty damned touching... I've had friends who wouldn't visit us that lived a town over. They've never seen Vermont foliage, so hopefully the leaves stay as perfect or better than they are currently. The forecast is immaculate.

do you have sugar shacks in Vermont?
If you do I highly recommend going to one but they are only open between March and May

They do, but I haven't visited one yet.
This week looks insanely nice. The foliage is dope. Reminds me of growing up out in the rural upstate NY world.
