also we had zero snow in Montreal for Christmas and New Years and I remember a time it was snowing on Halloween

Well, we got hammered with snow. 11 inches in 24 hours. Snow plows finally made it down the roads about 4pm blocking back in the driveway that i had just finished snow blowing. After shoveling back out i had to run and grab smokes and a big beer that was optional, but well deserved after the long day of manhandling a snow blower. Anyone ever tried using one of these? Im sure its a lot easier on a flat driveway. But with the ruts and divots we have, its work. Roads are still snow dusted with underlying ice and intersections are a mess. Looks like im using a vacation day tomorrow.
How many of you southern folk have never witnessed snow?

Slum. My first weekend after moving to KY the town closed down due to a winter 'storm' that only dusted the roads. After seeing an easy 6 - 8 inches in PA. KY called everything off for only a dusting. I had heard that things freeze down there and that was cause for the shutdown.

I am now old enough to run for President of the United States.
Turned 35 on the 15th (which is Martin Luther King's actual birthday, today is just the observed federal day).
I've always felt the man as an inspiration.
Despite an incident at work on Friday where a black veteran called me a racist (he said someone said they heard me say "them people".. which I didnt.. but if I did, how do you know I didnt say it about leprechauns, the employees at the DMV, or furries?) .. despite that incident, and others, I still abide by the lifestyle of judging people on the content of their character. Or as I like to put it, based on the individual.
Some people are so warped that they have lost all sense of what they are angry about. That man at my work was indeed the racist, and he in turn insulted my brother who fought and died for this country as a Lieutenant in the National Guard. Two of his kids are African-American and Caucasian.
What I like to preach is to be a good fucking person. The irrational ones can come from anywhere, at any second.
Strange racial things I've experienced in the past few years include that tale and also:
- the middle aged Hispanic man who drunkenly threatened me at the liquor store before Trump was elected.. his reasoning was that he thought I was voting for Hillary (never did) and that Mike Pence was "a man of God", thus Trump was as well. He said if Hillary was elected he would kick my ass.
- the obese Mexican guy who came into our store, unprovoked, and shouted "I'm voting for Trump and I AM Mexican!"
- come to think of it, the next two stories are of Mexicans supporting Trump. I'm done typing about that, then.
Anyway, back to the thesis.

It actually snowed twice last year in New Orleans. It caused headaches and shutdowns but nothing compared to what y'all get, But on the flip side of the coin, we can function just fine in 100° heat with 100% humidity which in return, makes the 'feel like' temperature around 120°.
Before one of you out west sum bitches start talking that 'Our average is 105° all the time' shit. Dry heat is nothing compared to humid heat. It's like 90° at midnight around here for most of the year.
Its crazy how we as humans adapt to any environment you place us in.

Its pretty amazing the way the human body works. OKC Gotj the mrs went to the SCU with heat exhaustion. Last year MitchellKing who is from OK sat under a canopy in Ohio and lost 4.5lbs a day due to perspiration alone. I have family born in Pennsylvania, moved to Florida and now think the overnight temps of 40-50 are absolutely intolerable. Ive heard about dry heat, dont think ive experienced it tho.

These people weve had running for office have a very offensive way of promising a lot of falsehoods and reading between the lines speeches. Then its a slander match to see whos americas favorite. Register to be an official candidate. If you spend or raise over $5,000 dollars for your cause, you are then automatically considered a candidate by the FEC (Federal Elections Commission). Go to their website and start the process rolling.( https://www.fec.gov/help-candidates-and-committees/#candidate )
You'll have to keep the FEC updated with financial reports on income, personal spending and debt settlements for the entirety of your campaign.
Get your name on the ballot. Do this in all 50 states. Each state is different. You must contact each state's Secretary of State for the forms needed to be listed. Getting signatures and support across the state is the goal. (https://transition.fec.gov/pubrec/cfsdd/cfsdd.shtml)

The Mexicans (actually all are Americans but some have dual citizenship with Mexico - those that migrated from there, and others who are not really Mexican in that they do not have Mexican citizenship but do have parents/grandparents who were) that I know and work with, who are Trump supporters, like that he does not want people to enter illegally when they or their parents went through the process of entering through legal means.
