Colorado sucks if you want to camp anywhere worthwhile on short notice. Or even a sort of short notice. 

I have been waiting all week plus to go camping with the family. Just one quick overnight and a chill day to follow. Not much to ask, right?

Well I had been scouring like a madman trying to find ANYTHING that I could camp near. Everything is booked. Even the free spots get filled up.

I told my wife "fuck it! Let's just drive and search until we find something!"

Alas, my only day off today was also the day she got her IUD out. So we waited calmly for that morning appointment to pass. Then, while hanging with my girls, one decides to vomit four times. She never vomits. 

Wife comes home. Figures out that my girl has a fever. So they're out. Why not just you and the oldest daughter and the dog go? Itll be fun.

It was. We journeyed through the mountains once again. But, long story short, we could not land a campsite. We just got back from the drive. 

BUT, I managed to book the very last tent site for a place very far from here but dope looking in Glenwood Springs. So at least we have that. 

The day way not a waste, though. About 2 hours ago my girl finally broke down at frustration that there were others all around us that were camping and we couldnt. I told her that at least we tried. That it was a great lesson to learn that being a Simpson involves lots of misfortune and lameness. She seemed to get it

How is your area? We have a lake here with a blind backside. A few summers ago we went for a hike with the 4 wheelers, pitched a tent, lit a fire, and camped for free. 

Regardless homie, pretty pictures. Id love to see the Colorado mountains.

Colorado is insanely private. Seems like some damn honkey owns everything. Even when we moved here, this shitty little river by our house was out of reach due to some cracker fuck buying it and privatizing it. 

I do miss upstate NY for the fact that all of the wildness is more accessible. And greener, with more bodies of water. But ah well.

The mountains are great as usual. Very fun.

Went to see "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" today. Very solid. I'm not sure if mainstream audiences really get it, but I love most all Tarantino flicks. "Death Proof" seemed awful when I saw it, despite the awesome Kurt Russell. I would definitely have to rewatch it.

And for those wondering, Charles Manson plays a very small part in the overall story. He really isnt the main plot point. It's just a good, solid flick.

Kurt Russell was terrible in Death Proof. The role wasnt bad, but they could have chosen a better actor for the spot. He def had the old school vibe to fit the movie. I cant pin point what he lacked, but there was or wasnt a something that just didnt do for me in it. 

The foot fetish scene, man. How was the foot fetish scene? Tarantino is well known for this.
