Walters character arc is only surpassed by Rickety Cricket from its always sunny.

Dude, you're missing the best move of the year, Midsommar. Loved that fucking movie. Same dude that did Hereditary. Great at building tension and anxiety with fucked up plots and personal meanings behind them. Also pretty funny with out losing the tone he was going for. Hell, everything I've seen from A24 so far has been unassailable so far.

Saul's. I just couldnt get past the 4th episode or so. 

I loved Breaking Bad and am already rewatching season 3.

Agreed with Slum, I think it is the best show ever made. I havent seen "The Wire" which many claim to be the best. 

I dont really watch television like sitcoms. Sitcoms make me panic sometimes. But these new movie-like shows are so great. "Orange is the New Black", "Breaking Bad", "Maniac". So many good ones.

This has indeed been a great year for movies. "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" was excellent. Looking forward to the "Jay and Silent Bob Reboot".

Last night, whilst stoned, I imagined a hilarious short film wherein Jay from Jay and Silent Bob meets and befriends Jesse Pinkman from "Breaking Bad". Hilairous stuff.

I also want to see "Midsommar". I liked "Hereditary" a lot and watched it at my friend's request. I wasnt as scared as he was but it had a great overall creepy and interesting vibe.

Midsommar is the same way. I loved it more. Warning: It's longer and a lot of the scenes are dragged out to create that awkward sense of anxiety and that alone has been a huge turn off for people. However, most people that were turned off weren't big fans of Hereditary either.

I wouldn't call either scary but they are good at building an atmosphere that is definitely in the horror lexicon and it's much more intense than the traditional scares of the genre.

 

Looking into the catalog of A24 and yeah, every singe film I've seen from that studio has been absolutely fantastic. Outside of Tusk, which isn't a bad movie either, they have all been some of the best movies I've seen in the last few years.

Hereditary, Midsommar, Swiss Army Man, The Disaster Artist, The Green Room, Moonlight, The VVitch. I should check out more from them.  

Loved "The VVitch" and "The Green Room". Also loved "Tusk". Makes my wife laugh her ass off. And goddamn Michael Parks is one of the most under-recognized actors ever.

I don't know a lot of people that have seen The Green Room and I don't know why. That movie is absolutely intense. Plus it has the juggalo reference for the juggalos referenced thread. One of the hidden goodies on Netflix I tend to put on for people. That and Trash Fire which is also fucked up.

I've seen it twice. Any movie that involves white supremacists getting their comeuppance is fair game to me. On that note, has anyone seen "Surf Nazis Must Die!"? I used to have the VHS. Some old Troma flick.

On my weekends off ive been sleeping my ass off. 2 weekends ago i had 2 pounders and slept for 16 hours off and on, after sleeping all night. Last weekend i slept 10 hours during the course of a day, also after sleeping my normal night. Yesterday was the same way. Went to bed about 2, got up at 8, and slept for probably another 8 throughout the day. Really hoping its another growth spurt creeping in on me, but its probably just some fucked up sort of depression. Shit sucks...

But here i am at 4 am ready to go back to sleep and i aint having it 2 days in a row. Im brewing my morning cup of coffee early, going to be getting dressed soon and heading to the lake with a fishing pole in my hand, and watching the sun come up. Later today we are supposed to be going to the county fair with her father, my brother, and his girl. Maybe this evening well go to the drive in, after a nap, haha?

Dude I hope you're okay. Too much sleep can be a signal of other deeper issues. Or maybe you gots the Mono. Not Monoxide Child, hopefully. 

Drive-Ins 4 life! I miss the one back home in upstate NY. There was one in this small CO town before we moved here but it's been closed for many years. If I had the skrilla I'd reopen it.

Nah, i dont think its like that. If im up and active i feel like i could nap but its not necessary. If im loafing around the house and just the tv is there to entertain me, your damn right im soaking up that time to crash for a few hours. Im good at work during the day, good if im playing with my machine, or a drawing program, or good playing with my phone. Tv is not entertaining, it doesn't settle my head. I wanna drink or sleep to escape my head. The mrs prefers that i sleep.

We didnt make it to the movies yesterday, i walked a lot scoping out spots on the lake, caught 5 small bass, biggest maybe a pound so i kept nothing. I want a trophy for the wall. Then we went to the fair and walked a bunch there. I swear i put almost 347 miles on my fitbit yesterday. 

We have a plan of taking her neice to the drive inn before the season is over so this wasnt our last attempt. Maybe next weekend when 'It 2' comes out. Scare the crap out of a 9 year old and a 38 year old. Were both gonna end up curled up with the Mrs all night in a well lit room.

I have ins but i hate using it, there are so many more ailments and diseases and flus than we had growing up. Odds are ill see a dr and be dead in 3 weeks due to some misdiagnosed rare infection that only happens to Indonesian children under 10. Fuck drs man.
