I made some pretzel dough into pepperoni pizzas and cinammon sugar rolls with my daughters today. Tried to post a pic but it's too large file size. I may fix that later. Now I'm chilling, getting ready for work again tomorrow.
Been reading U-God's book about his life and Wu-Tang. Great so far.

Yeah so far so good on the book. U-God would've been on 36 Chamber more but he kept pissing hot for probation due to handling cocaine too often. Got in the bloodstream.

Finished the U-God autobiography. Was good. Worth a read.
It had less of the contradictions that I expected coming into it. Shame on me, I guess. I am glad he saved the whole RZA beef for the end. U-God was humble enough to give his current enemy more praises and gratitude than ill words.
I dont care to read about that bullshit 5 Percenter stuff, but he reserved that mainly for one brief chapter. Anything religious usually makes me cringe.
I have the same resentments as usual when I hear about how much money drug dealers make in so short a time. I get not envious but exasperated that they couldn't make more out of all that money. I dunno. $50,000 is chump change to some, and a goldmine to 9-to-5 suckers like me, I guess.
The longest sections are his early life, the hustling days. Good stuff. He spends far more time on this era than his music era.
Highlights include a young man stealing his mother's earrings right off her ears and later finding out it was a young Mike Tyson, and U-God and Ghostface almost stomping Leonardo DiCaprio at a party. But the early years are the ones with most depth, as we have all read with Violent J's book.
Worth a read, and I'd enjoy reading RZA's story. And GZA, Ghost, etc.

I'm playing a gritty realistic shooter game, where competing gangs each reping different colors fight it out in turf wars, killing each other with guns or any other improvised weapon they can get their hands on. Blood paints the ground as everyone scrambles to claim the turf as their own, with the constant fear of death at the hands of the enemy gang member, each member doing it all just for the hope of the money they can get from their unseen bosses.

Hate to be the downer once again, but my mom's cat was gone for about 4 days. The wife texted me during my last half hour of work that there was a cat on the road that looked like him. So on my walk home from the dispensary, I made a visual. Came home, got a box and a work glove and a snow shovel and carried him home. Buried him just now. My mom is a mess and I shed my tears. Burned the bloody box that i carried him home in. Rest in peace, Nolson. You goofy, soft grey boy.
Two days off now. The owners of this place went thru a realtor after my dad bailed out on helping us pay for it. So they raised it twenty thousand more to a new $140,000. We have til end of May to evacuate. Been looking all over. Working all the time so it's hard to find time to look harder.
The good news? My wife finally is getting her teacher job! 99% in the bag. Turns out the dumb broads at the HR hadn't been doing their jobs and for these past 3.5 years she has been getting dismissed due to their negligence.
Just got a raise too. So we both are moving up in our jobs but shaky on a place to live. It's hard to find places that accept pets. At least we have one less cat to worry about AHYUCK AHYUCK!! Oh, boy I feel beaten.

Don't know all the workings in Denver but when the mrs. and I were in search of our house here in OH we kept tabs on realtor.com. There is also foreclosure listings at the courthouse, fannymae, and different opportunities to get people to buy houses. Theres also auctions where you need the cash up front but they sometimes go for pennies on the dollar. We lucked out and bought ours from her grandparents dirt cheap. Spent the first years of our relationship learning to build a house and learning each other. Very difficult to do both but were still together and both first time home owners. You have half this shit in the bag homie! Spent the first month or so gutting the entire place, another month to do insulation, another to do the electric, another for plumbing. Everything is on google. Your not the first person to do anything, someone has a how to video for just about everything. Building materials are sometimes cheap on craigslist. We found a Jacuzzi tub with jets for $199. We turned the back hallway into a second bathroom and the main bathroom into her powder room. Found a complete set of French doors in lowes clearance racks for $150 and her shower stall for about $300. Shower doors we paid full price for, but that's besides the point. Theres things out there man. Hope some of this helps. Just seems like a never ending battle to get to the finish stage. Everything is functional but NOTHING is complete. Find a fixer upper, dirt cheap, that'll make everyone comfy. Make it functional and forewarn everyone its going to be a process. Weve had people come in and cant believe its the same house. Don't have to worry about following landlord rules if you own the place!
Sorry about the cat, pal.

I am one of the "never own" people. Not that you can ever really own land or a home. Property taxes and all. You still pay rent to the government for the rest of your life and if you fail to pay, you lose it. You never own it. You are still renting it.

I grew up in a shack. A SHACK. I'm not exaggerating. We had possums, snakes, bats, rats, raccoons. Electric blankets. Holes in the walls. My dad taught me electric (owned his own business).
You guys rock. But I must say that I know very few people who grew up rougher than us
I could go on all day.
Thanks so much for the encouragement, dawg.

Not saying im right or better or anything but i was in that frame of mind for a while. If the hot water breaks call the landlord, no worries. Then something clicked and I wanted the piece of land to call my own with no rules. Its cool i could paint, put a hole in a wall, tear out a whole wall, no animal stipulations, no noise ordinance, do my own thing in my own place. Our taxes have been $76 a year. Ill take it for doing whatever i want whenever i want.

That's really nice. $76 a year for that kind of freedom. Not saying that I agree with paying for freedom but there's no beating that price. Where do you live that your property taxes are so low? To get that kind of price around here in Houston, you have to "know" your property tax assessor.

Youngstown, Ohio. The mrs called the city last week so we could buy the lot behind us for $195, and according to them we were not residing in our house, only owned it, living somewhere else. So she had to correct that, taxes may rise slightly.

Hopefully it does not increase much. I don't know about the particular property classifications but the Youngsville, OH median property tax rate 1.515% - Note: that includes commercial and industrial properties in the statistics so yours may be much lower.
