That's actually not at all true. 

Obama was raised without religion for most of his life. His father was raised Muslim but was an atheist and Barack never really knew him. His mom married a man from Indonesia and they moved there for a few years. Indonesia is a predominantly Muslim country so he went to a school that has strong Muslim influence. His mother, an atheist, told him to be respectful of their practices and follow the rules but that he wasn't expected to be Muslim. 

When he came back to the US he was raised by atheist grandparents until he left Hawaii to go to college. After college but about 20 years before running for president, he began attending a Christian church. 

The "interview" you're talking about, he said the Muslim community needed to ask themselves, "what can we do to prevent this kind of tragedy." He was not saying that he is a Muslim.

Well, at least icp / jumpsteady and Islam. 

I'm actually agnostic now. But I still do follow some Islamic customs.
