is it wrong to say I miss this? It came out AS I was born but it's still what everyone was listening to when I was stupid young (as well as that was when dubstep was becoming super popular, but I always liked this more). Good shit.

Hermit and the Recluse is a group project with rapper Ka and producer Animoss.
This is some classic lyrical hip hop over some Wu Tang style production that relies heavily on samples. The only difference is in Ka's signature style that boom bap drum style isn't present, he washes the drums out into the back ground of the music and that's if he actually has drums because he often times uses the bass line as his beat. This project he paints himself as Orpheus and uses greek mythology to describe his life. Super dope.

I always hated pop punk. I don't have a pretentious reason to hate it either, just never liked the sound.
It did completely shit on everything that the genre was supposed to be about, but then again adhering to 'rules' on what punk is supposed to be wouldn't really be punk so once punk was established the punk thing to do would be to take the genre that was supposed to be the antithesis of pop and then make it pop.
To get even more punk than that is to go the Hed PE route and make a whole pop punk album trashing pop punk. Except I don't think that was a self aware move on Jared's part. I don't know of being self aware is punk or not either. The Clue was better anyways.

Hardcore punk with angry distortion and poly pitched (not an actual term but I think it's the best way to describe the vocal effect) vocals and lyrics that are extremely horrorcore in nature. This is a misanthropic murder fest
