Another song that motivated me to change my life. 

Scarlxrd's Infinity.

It's trap metal (screaming vocals over distorted bass driven trap music) though, it sounds more like hardcore than anything metal. It's his most realized album yet, though it still doesn't live up to what I think his potential is. He usually has good songs while his albums become a chore to listen to, but this one stays fairly consistent. Worth a listen if you're interested.

I love this song because it does the whole venting the problems about being famous that a million people have already done, but with WAY more self awareness, the chorus is literally about how he knows he has it good, and if anyone has the right to be pissed about their fame its them (people fucking hate them and I have no idea why), so that was very admirable.

HELL YEAH, didn't expect to see that today, Acid Bath is FUCKING AMAZING! 

They're also partially responsible for the fact that NOLA loves metal (well, compared to most states that is), and I might move there someday with that being part of the reason.  

I was recommended it because into my journey into metal my least favorite genre was sludge. Turns out, sludge doesn't suck and the sludge bands that bored me were also doom metal bands and if you know anything about doom metal you may know why it's my least favorite metal genre.

These guys are playing the gathering and I wish I was going. I've been listening to them non stop since the announcement. 

This is true as fuck, the question is, will this cycle ever end? 

Not just in music, in art in general, every generation finds some way that the next generation's art is bad. 

I know some people say the next art form that will have to fight for respect will be virtual reality, I can see it already, just like how the same people who grew up watching ultra violent gore fests at the movies turned around and said Call of Duty was bad for kids because it's "you doing it", the people who grew up playing Call of Duty will look at a violent virtual reality game and say that it's not the same because "your doing it". Going further back, the same people who praised incredibly shocking written stories said that violent movies were bad because you're really seeing it. It just keeps going, though, to be honest, not sure where to go after virtual reality, kind of seems like the end of things. 

Same with music, not sure where to go from here, I certainly can't see the trap fans of nowadays pulling a 180 on their kids, though I guess I would have said the same thing about the Pac and Biggie fans of the 90s,
