Ok. Smileys are working again. @scottied , I pm’d you the process that I use to fix them. It involves editing one line in one of the files for SimplePress.

Think @scottied should be made aware that for the last few days the front page has been frozen on several devices I have viewed the site on.
The “MNE announces G MO SKEE as their new artist” story is still the top story, only when I log on do I see all the news stories that followed.
Probably killing the site traffic, no one is seeing the fresh Gathering updates unless they are logged in.
Cache may need a reboot or some shit?

This has happened to me to from desktop (Windows 8). However, not mobile…

I seem to be experiencing a problem loading the site lately.
Even though my caches are cleared, the site loads “out of date”. Same thing on my phone when I access the site.
It’s usually locked into displaying a specific time period and when I click on any forum links it will load as if accessed from that time, however it will still show that there have been more posts made to that thread ie loads page 13 when it’s now at 16 pages.
At first I thought it was just something on my phone/device but now I’m getting it on my PC as well…
Cookie problems?

Check it out now @cheshyr . I just cleared the cache of our online firewall. maybe it was hung up or something.

I’m gonna throw Donihoo a bone and point out that the front page has been frozen since Monday.
If you are not accessing the site through mobile, or not logged in, the top story for the last 5 days has been the ‘TWIZTID SET TO MAKE EXCLUSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT’ story from Monday.
Someone should clear that cache shit again…….

@scottied , I am not sure how to solve this issue. I have no access to the Smart Cache system. My solution would be to add theses meta tags to the header of each page:
<meta http-equiv=“cache-control” content=“max-age=0” />
<meta http-equiv=“cache-control” content=“no-cache” />
<meta http-equiv=“expires” content=“0” />
<meta http-equiv=“expires” content=“Tue, 01 Jan 1980 1:00:00 GMT” />
<meta http-equiv=“pragma” content=“no-cache” />
But that would slow down all page loads and would defeat the purpose of the Smart Cache system.

@scottied is not cool with it. He has instructed me to delete the imposter accounts. I am issuing a warning (via PM) to the people who did the impersonation. If they do it again, it won’t be just a warning.
