…since were evidently compiling a bug list… anyone else have a glitch when you click the ‘most recent topics with unread posts’ icon, toward the top of the page, under the two drop menus?i click that, and the main menu dropdowns [‘home news reviews’ etc] are persistent; they stay superimposed over the windoid that opens up. have to remember to scroll a lil bit to get em out of the way, or i cant click on the second unread topic link.

I personally think the little dohickeys that explain what button you are pressing are fresh…who actually knew what the paste as text button did before they existed….NO ONE.

That’s @ganjagoblin , the editor is a plugin thing. That’s his department. He gets points for the tool tips, or as they are technically called, dohickeys.

I always enjoy checking the front page to see the latest forum posts, that update area has been acting weird the last few days. @scottied , I’ve noticed that from my phone, the front page latest forum posts can be several hours behind then when I look on my desktop, it is correct. The info is being cached by some ISPs. It seems to have started when the new firewall was set up.
I enabled WP-SuperCache to see if it would help with the site lag. I forgot to create an exception for the forum, but I added that earlier this afternoon. It should hopefully be fixed! Let me know if you guys see anything else weird going on!

@scottied , I have a theory on the lag. When bots (or anyone) hit the Members page it slows the site down. If you click on the members button, wait about 10 seconds, then try to open another page in a different tab, it causes the entire site to lag. It may have to do with the member table not being purged of inactives in a while. It is quite huge.

Basicly, when I get home in the morning and check this thread, this post most likely will not show for me.
That’s how it was yesterday in jiffys post your embarrassing song thread. I can see all my posts when I’m mobile, but if I went on mg laptop, my posts were not there.

This may be the Cache issue that @scottied fixed earlier today. See if the issue still is there tomorrow morning.

@jiffylong , I am not sure. It looks fine for me on desktop but on my phone it is all messed up. Something new though. I haven’t been playing with the style sheets but maybe @ganjagoblin or @scottied are trying to implement a mobile version. Mobile CSS usually needs to be “massaged” into place with a lot of trial and error. I am going to download a debug phone emulator so I can see what is going on with mobile issues.

This probably has to do with the theme upgrade that happened yesterday. we were WAY behind on the theme version which had security holed and whatnot. So i went through and updated it yesterday.
@psyral-infection, if you have any experience in “massaging” a mobile theme into place, your help would be much appreciated! Hit me up! You’ve got my email / number!

Yeah, it is prolly just that. I’m on mobile. I wouldn’t know what it’s like on desktop.

The “spam” post on the main page wasn’t actually spam. I hired a freelancer to figure out why the site was having some lag still. He did a test post and didn’t remove it. I did when I saw it about an hour later. The lag is happening less frequently, but when it does happen, it’s usually for right at 30 seconds. I think it’s a Wordpress plugin issue, but we use like 50, so it’s hard to figure out which one it is, especially when the issue is so hard to duplicate. It just happens at random.
