The “spam” post on the main page wasn’t actually spam. I hired a freelancer to figure out why the site was having some lag still. He did a test post and didn’t remove it. I did when I saw it about an hour later.
i see.
test post couldve at least said, ‘have a nice day’, or sumn…
well at any rate, my continued gratitude, for yalls efforts to keep this place fresh.

It wasn’t my post, and the dude is from India, and works for cheap. I’ll take the blame for that one.

I have a debugging emulator now. I will try to fix the mobile issues this weekend.
If you see a glitch in the matrix, it’s probably me working out the issues and trying to make sure that the styles on the desktop versions remain the same while changing only the mobile. I am going to be working on the styles offline first to attempt to work it all out before publishing, but sometimes offline and online doesn’t completely sync up. Also, after publishing a style change, client browsers will reload the CSS and not pull from cache so slight delays in loading pages may occur right after a change is made.

I have more of the forum styles fixed for mobile but those don’t transfer over to the main page. They only work once you are in the forum.
Still a little more work to do on it but it should be good by this evening for mobile users. (The forum part, not the main page).
I’ll get to the main page part as soon as I get access to that.
It’s a bit of trial and error because different phones seem to render things differently. I have an emulator that emulates a lot of different phones but not all of them. Things still are a little off on my phone but I’ll figure it all out.
The way the site switches to mobile is by resolution width. It makes the switch at 768 pixels. If it doesn’t work well in portrait orientation on your phone or tablet currently, then try switching to landscape until things get completely fixed for mobile users.
Thank you all for your patience in this while we work through the new changes that the required theme update affected.

Still getting the occasional page loading hang ups but it’s getting better.
However, on my Droid, the main page now only displays in “landscape view” and the “current topics” forum section is all the way down at the bottom of the page and I gotta scroll through all the news and video sections to get to it…
Just FYI. Not bitching.

Would it be possible to get the mobile site back to how it was before this thread? It’s a lot worse now.
@luckynumbrxiii , We can do a few things. But the last necessary forum update changed some things that we cannot change back. I will remove what I can but I can’t fix all that the update changed. The current one works perfectly on my phone but there are so many different phone resolutions it’s difficult to account for them all.
….
The style code is now back to what it was right after the update. I can’t get it back to before the update.

@luckynumbrxiii , Oh. That’s gonna be a tough one to fix. I will have to try to reproduce the error.
OR… Next time you get the error, if you could PM me with the date and time of the error, I can go through the log files for that time and see what I can figure out.
Thanks for pointing this out. I didn’t even know that was occurring.
