Well, from upstate NY but living in CO for five years so far. The weed part is true, I guess.

I am very interested to hear theories about the dark carnival.

We’ve had two people come here with theories and it was reasonably entertaining each time, so, can’t get enough of that. 

So, i have a few questions, if you dont mind. If you do, dont answer.

Do you sit or stand to pee? Like when you wake up in the middle of the night with an erection do you sit, bent at the stomache, with ur hands on the floor in front of you or do you bend that bitch hard core and stand to pee? Basically a how serious are you taking this? Do you full on treat yourself as a lady or do you still practice male tendencies?

Is it ok to ask a trans their age? I know its not polite to ask a woman but your technically not a woman yet, therefore you cant get offended. I mean, if i were to ask you after the surgery then that would be offensive. Right now were at a good stage for the asking are we not? If you want to dwell on this and wait till after the surgery to get offended and be upset, ill understand.

Is there a pre-op manual that i can read to answer these questions?

I am still trying to comprehend the position you are proposing at the moment. 

Most of us just wait till its gone, or just stand up anyways and try not to be dysphoric.

And I mean, all of us have to practice some level of “male tendency” but that has nothing to do with how you live.

Okay, yet again, wtf dude. Who says “If you want to get offended and upset later I’ll understand”?

Trans women, are women, before and after surgery, in that we are basically forced to be by our own brains. 

I’ll speak in 1st person real quick and put it like this.

My gender dysphoria makes the sight of me appearing male make me feel physically sick. I absolutely cannot stand it. 

So, I HAVE to “live” as a woman, I put in as much effort as I can to appear and essentially BE female. So, in practicality, in all aspects but my physical body, I am a woman. And after I’m on hormones for a few years, and get some surgeries, that will be changed too. 

When people hear the phrase “I am mentally a woman” they don’t usually get HOW its true. 

I mean, women don’t all act in one particular way. 

But the reason its true is what I said a bit ago, my mind FORCES me to be female. Things that I would do or even think that my mind deems to be that of a man, I won’t do (like, you know, go out in public looking like a guy). In other words, my mind has forced itself to be that of a woman’s, because I will feel physically sick if I do something that makes me feel too masculine. 

So think of it like this we get surgery and hormones not to become women, but to make our bodies match our minds.

And that shit is backed up, trans women’s brains typically resemble that of a female brain when scanned (yes, the male and female brains do have distinct differences) after hormone therapy even more so, but even before then it has been shown that, on average, trans women’s brains resemble that of cis women’s.  

Now, I’ll still metal scream, and drink beer, and get in fights or whatever the fuck, because I don’t see those things as gendered, even if they are considered masculine things to do, they don’t trigger dysphoria in me, because I don’t see them as making me male. None of those things make me any less of a woman. 

What makes a trans woman a woman isn’t her body, its her mind, her body is what has to be changed 

 

So in asking if its okay to do something that you would not normally do to a woman, no, you should treat a trans woman like you would any other woman.

Now I think we should treat everyone equally as shitty, and I don’t give a flying fuck if you ask me your age, or anybody else’s for that matter, I think the whole “don’t ask a woman her age” thing, just makes the fear of aging stronger, don’t be fucking ashamed of being older than someone, that’s retarded.

There are tons of books about gender dysphoria and living as a trans person, dunno any off the top of my head, but they’re out there.

Wtf, no, have you had one too many tonight? We just fucking don’t.

Trans people are trans people because of gender dysphoria, its a mental disorder wherein your mind is averse to the gender you were born in in favor of the opposite gender (or none in the case of non-binaries, but ignore that). 

Averse meaning, it makes us feel fucking sick. 

Trans women don’t need tampons, basically nobody is made dysphoric by not having a period, and even if they were, it probably wouldn’t be bad enough to do a mock one, especially because that’s making me cringe just thinking about it.

And post bottom surgery, you still don’t need tampons, because you don’t, you know, get periods.

You can’t just get a uterus implanted into you. Someday maybe, but not now. Neo-vaginas aren’t implants, and even the few people who have gotten vaginal implants did not receive a uterus, that is WAY beyond what surgeons are currently capable of doing.

Why the fuck am I talking about this. 

Trans women don’t use tampons. That’s the main point I was trying to get across here.

 

Anyways, next time you have really fucking random ass questions, maybe ask the person you’ve known for over a year instead of the random chick that just got here? So you don’t, you know, freak her out with whatever the fuck that was?
