Even Canada which actually does state that parents have to acknowledge their child's gender identity (it's not very well enforced and I think it's wrong, but whatever) will not force you to let your kid take hormones or even hormone blockers and surgery at that age is illegal pretty much everywhere. My mom got two of us boys a Cabbage Patch Kid doll. My brother got a dreadlocked one named Sammy and I got a bald cracker named Herbert. I actually don't intend on getting surgeries for another few years. 

I'm going to wait until I've been on HRT for at least two years before getting ANYTHING done.

I'm going to wait on bottom surgery for a long time. 

I'm hoping to some day get an implant, which are not commercially available at the moment, only a few people have gotten it. 

I personally think that'll take like, idk 5-15 years, shit tons of time. 

But yeah, I'll probably only start getting surgery at 20 or 21, and that's only IF I can pay for it. And I'd hardly call breast implants "life changing".

And on top of that, gender dysphoria typically develops around age 13, usually following gender non-conforming behavior, or thoughts of it, as a kid. (gender non-conforming behavior just meaning stuff that that gender doesn't normally do) that's not always the way it happens, it can happen any number of ways, but that's sort of the standard, 

In other words teenaged years are where ACTUALLY being able to tell your trans is even possible. 

But, despite what the narrative a lot of people push, not every single person who thinks they're trans is. But I'm pretty thoroughly checked out. I've seen like a million different psychiatrists, and I have a doctor's note. On top of that, most of them were assigned to me by institutions, so in other words have nothing to gain by just giving me what I want to hear.

 Okay, yes there are concerns, ESPECIALLY bone density, which is why in my opinion NOBODY under AT LEAST 15 should begin hormones, because hormones always fuck with your bone density, but when your bones are barley developed, that's just, a horrible idea. BUT bone density problems can be treated. 

As for sterility, it is usually irreversible, but can sometimes (if your lucky) reverse. That's actually what Blaire white is attempting to do right now I believe, gain sterility and then go back on estrogen. 

But anyway. Most effects are reversible.

They've given transphobes a way to demonize the entire lgbt community by acting like we're a monolith. And made trans people feel pressured to act in line with them.

And that has made the moderate or right wing LGBT people afraid out of their minds to express their ideas or even come out. Because they're afraid of the judgment from not conforming. 

So the LGBT community is becoming more and more radicalized, causing the right to become even more radicalized, and all the while NOBODY, including me, actually knows how big or small the problem is, because all we ever see is the worst of the lgbt community. And lgbt people are afraid to oppose that image for fear of being attacked.

Look at Blaire White, she is one of the most hated people on the internet, simply for being a right wing trans woman. 

People say that her ideas are "dangerous", which is bullshit.

She is EXACTLY what we need, more people like her. I don't agree with a lot of the shit she has to say, but the fact that she is openly a right wing trans woman helps shatter the image that ALL trans people are some far left regressive. 

But being a prominent lgbt figure who is open with their political beliefs and not being a leftist is so difficult, because people will try to cancel the shit out of you, they'll misrepresent your arguments, strawman you, and lump you in with people you don't agree with in the slightest. 

This vocal minority of extremists are trying to conjure a culture war. And if they go unopposed they'll succeed. By they need to be opposed by other trans people, they have created this echo chamber that can't be broken from the outside. 

All the while, transphobes are using this image to rally hate against us, and in the same way that trans people feel pressure not to express non-lefist beliefs, right wing people feel pressured not to support trans people fueling the culture war even more.

This really does need to end before something really bad happens. 

I think the most stand out example is Anti-fa, Anti-fa are beyond extremist, I can count on one hand the number of people I know that ACTUALLY support their beliefs, but I couldn't count on a hundred hands the number of people who refuse to condemn them because they are either misinformed about them or "support them" because they're socially told to. So when people who do realize how horrible Anti-Fa are see that lgbt people (or really the left in general in this case) refuse to condemn them, they assume that means they support their beliefs, which they don't.

I think the biggest problem is the refusal to have a civil conversation or be friends with people who don't share the same political beliefs. 

It creates this us vs them mentality that is, well, the number one thing that has haunted humanity since the dawn of time (I mean, unless you count tuberculosis). 

I think you should value any friends that don't share your beliefs yet remain your friend. That's why I love the fam so much. Not only are those the realest people alive, but those are the kinds of people that will actually cause meaningful change in this stupid fucking world.  

Even though I've been, well, rude, when talking about them this whole time, I've been friends with TONS of regressive lunatics. So long as I don't catch them abusing a child or saying "kill all men", your beliefs don't bother me.

I should note at the end that, despite the way I make it sound, I really do mean it when I say that they are a vocal minority, if you're just meeting a random trans person on the street, chances are they aren't some far left radical. 

It's hard to word this in a way that accurately conveys the scope because the scope varies so much from location to location. 

Like, on those infamous college campuses, this is on a scope possibly even more dramatic than I'm making it. But here in a place like Arizona, I may complain about it a lot, but don't misunderstand, there are TONS of genuinely open minded lgbt people, and genuinely open minded right wingers, lets not leave that out of this, that are willing to talk to the other side.

Don't let who gets talked about the most make you afraid of talking to people, anyone for that manner.
