Just discovered the music, and wishing I’d found it years ago! Awhile back an acquaintance said he’d been listening to a lot of ICP. I later found out through the grapevine he’d been joking, but my curiosity was sparked so I started reading around in Wikipedia and various interviews with the band I googled, and checking out videos on YouTube. The fact that they’re from my old home town Detroit got me even more interested and when I read about the themes and the Dark Carnival I knew “I can DIG this!!!” So found the forum and joined so I can learn more and discuss with others who enjoy this music too. So far I’ve collected copies of The Great Milenko, the red edition of Amazing Jeckel Brothers, the black edition of Mighty Death Pop, as well as Crystal Skull by Big HooDoo, whose music I also like a lot. Glad to have found the forum, and looking forward to reading and posting more!

I’m in Mid-City LA these days, but I originally grew up in Detroit over by 8 Mile and Mound Roads near the big Chrysler plant and the Dorais Derby park. One of the things I’m lovin’ about ICP is all the references to places I remember so well.
Love the name of the site and forum too! When I was a kid in Detroit I used to drink Faygo sodas by the case. Can’t get it out here on the West Coast though. Out here we have Shasta instead. :D
Thanks for all the balloon pix too. I never saw a main battle tank made out of balloons before. We should have had those when I was in the Army! :D
