Kendrick alone is the next great MC in my opinion but all of them are all dope in their own way...solo and as a group...I've been following their careers for over a year or two now and they're working their way up

Kendrick's Section.80 album was my favorite of last year and Ab Soul and Schoolboy Q's solo tapes that have dropped this year ("Control System" and "Habits & Contradictions") were both great as well...Kendrick's releasing his debut ALBUM in August so I most likely won't be getting anything important taken care of that month except listening to that album, MDP, and possibly going to the Gathering depending on who's all performing

they're the illest movement in Hip Hop right now IMO...4 artists who make great individual music but also make great stuff when collaborating with each other and others as well..Kendrick's debut is gonna be great

I'd say it's a close race with Strange ... But Black Hippy is pure hip hop .. No singing, just dope raps.

they do have some singing in their music just not any of the actual BH artists...though Soul and Kendrick have both harmonized on many tracks and Soul actually laced a few dope sing songy choruses for Jay Rock back in the day...but yeah overall just really dope Hip Hop..I like them because they can pretty much do any style of Hip Hop...they'll go from deep introspective conscious music, to more street oriented gangsta shit, to 'swag' type stuff (I hate swag music but they do a great job with it so I can't hate on them really), to club shit, to songs for the bitches, to drug music....they really have no limits and that's just subject matter...they also structure their bars really well (Kendrick especially experiments with his flow all the time)

agreed but there's a lot of dope artists who are gonna be around for years to come I feel…his whole BH crew, Big KRIT, Joey Bada$$ & his ProERA crew, Odd Future (they may be immature disrespectful assholes right now while they're young but they also do make SOME really good music when they aren't goofing around…as they mature as artists I feel they'll start making some really great stuff in the future personally), Yelawolf, etc....I like the direction Hip Hop is going right now personally aside from the stupid Young Money bullshit

never seen much of their live performances though I'm hoping to see Lamar live in October...heard their Rock the Bells show wasn't very good and a lotta the crowd was leaving but they were killing it supposedly on their Under the Influence tour with Wiz and them...can't wait for Kendrick's album on Oct 2
