Today, 8/14, is the day when 10 years ago Drowning Pool singer Dave Williams passed away of a rare heart disease in his sleep while on tour. May he rest in Peace.

i was fortunate enough to see his LAST performance in the Detroit area before he passed.

i remember it like it was yesterday, it was the first time i drove to a concert without parental supervision. lol

it was the Jagermeister tour @ Clutch Cargo's, it featured Drowning Pool(w/original singer), Coal Chamber, Ill Nino, and 40 Below Summer.

good times, this would also be, coincidently, one of the last times that Coal Chamber did a show together in the D before they broke up.

I wished I woulda seen Dave live. I became a fan of theirs during the Jason "Gong" Jones era and checked out the Sinner album and was hooked since.

BTW, Coal Chamber is back together.

dez Has Been Talkin About it on twitter and they have been doing shows overseas for tha last few months no word yet on new album or tour in the states
