RED FANG Is Coming! New Album This Fall
- Posted by RobInjection on May 22, 2013
Red Fang exploded onto the scene in 2011 and 2012, and after some time away from the spotlight working on new material, the band is ready to be all up in your face again.
We just got a press release announcing the band will be back this fall with a ” as-yet-untitled third studio album” out on Relapse Records.
The band is putting the finishing touches on a new album with producer Chris Funk (Decemberists) and mixer Vance Powell (White Stripes, Raconteurs, Kings of Leon).
I can’t wait to see what the band has up their sleeves with their music videos for this one as their previous videos have all been fantastically entertaining.

Dude Runs Out Of Gas On The Interstate, Sets Up Drum Kit And Blasts To Kill Time
- Posted by RobInjection on May 22, 2013
This is the type of story that puts a giant smile on my face.
I don’t know if this dude is even into metal, but he is an honorary metalhead in my book after this showing of awesomeness. This dude was driving on I-695 and ran out of gas. So he did what any self-respecting musician would do, pulled over, set up his drum kit and started shredding! Gawker writes:
According to the Baltimore Sun, Maryland state troopers eventually spotted the drummer and pulled over to investigate. He told the troopers he’d decided to kill time by practicing. The troopers bought the man’s story, called a State Highway Administration truck to refill his tank, and then sent him on his way without issuing a citation.
This is basically the greatest story ever. Although that Russian band that played on the highway WHILE IN MOTION may have him beat.

GOBLIN and PHIL!!! Holy fucking shit, batman. Coffin Joe and Deodato too!!! Are you going to this?
Yeah I live around there so hopefully I can pick up some passes, tickets are a bit pricey but it’s probably worth it. More to be announced too, I heard some rumors of Danzig playing.
I wish there was a private message option on these things (HINT HINT)
You get anything from goblin merch wise or whatever and I guarantee I can find some guy that will pay nicely for it…..(HINT HINT)
I mean the guy is me…

PROTEST THE HERO Enlist LAMB OF GOD Drummer Chris Adler For New Record
- Posted by Greg Kennelty on June 7, 2013
In an update email from their crowd-funding campaign, Protest the Hero said:
With all this incredible progress, however, we have some sad news. Our brother and friend Moe has decided to leave the band to go back to school in pursuit of some of his other passions. When our gruelling studio schedule just wouldn’t work with his gruelling school schedule, we realized we would need to find a session player for the new album. With Moe’s guidance and approval, we found us a nice match in Chris Adler! Having known Chris for a few years, and with he and Moe being drum-buddies, it seemed like a perfect fit. We are happy to say that Chris has already come and gone from canada and has left us with some beautiful drum tracks.
God I wish they would upload some drum tracks of Chris shredding that shit up! Before all you prog nerds get all up in arms about a “metal” drummer being in a “progressive” band, keep in mind that Adler got invited to play in Blotted Science with Ron Jarzombek, who’s certifiably insane when it comes to thinking of the most fucked uup music any human can play. Adler is a monster and I’m way pumped to see the dude play on Protest the Hero’s next record!
The band also recently posted photos from the recording studio on their Facebook page.
