Oof, not feeling this at all.  Their earlier shit is some of my favorite of all time, but Donker Mag wasn’t nearly as good and the new songs on this one are another step in the wrong direction.  I hope Die Antwoord isn’t played out but I’m afraid that might be the case.

the first few releases are amazing but as DrFreshness said, the new stuff is not even close as good.

I also have a horror story involving my relationship with Die Antwoord.

I first had networked with Die Antwoord back in 1986 when they were performing in an old musical project that they called “Salt N Peppa”. Now, you might not know too much about this musical group but they did get a lot of buzz that year for a song called “Push It”. Kind of became a hit song for the time in their home town of Paris. Seeing the pure underrated talent of that song not getting the global recognition it deserved, I decided to use my position to reach out to them and try to bring this wonderful art to the whole world. They were two extremely humble and beautiful black women at that time just looking for their big break. 

After coming to an agreement I ventured off to America and delivered singles of Push It to every major radio station at the time. But with every place I went they impolitely rejected each single with only one group of people willing to play it under certain stipulations. There was a radio show that played in New York called The Wonderful Radio Show Of Only Number 1 Hits For The Greatest Of The Musical Listeners To Ever Lay Their Gorgeous Ears On This Beautiful Planet: Making The Radio Listening Experience Great Again. Also known as TWRSOON1HFTGOTMLTELTGEOTBP: Making The Radio Listening Experience Great Again. The two hosts running the station, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, agreed that they’d only give Push It air time if they were to receive oral sex from Salt N’ Peppa and ejaculate on their faces.

Disgusted, I instantly phoned Salt N’ Peppa to inform them of the horrible time I’ve been having trying to get this single played. See, at the time nobody was ready for progressive music like this to be played on the radio. The only thing you could hear played on the radio during the 80s was analog music inspired by video games and Herby Handcock. While discussing options with Salt N’ Peppa I mentioned the offer that Trump and Hillary gave to have their dicks sucked for radio play. Salt N’ Peppa arrived in hours, and against my advice, took the offer. This point in the story is where I urge you people to always get any business deals in writing. Trump and Hillary lied, they did not play that single on the radio after receiving the blow jobs.

So, down on our luck Salt N’ Peppa wanted to take a hiatus from the arduous times they were having in the industry. A few months went by and I hadn’t heard from them. I was starting to get worried. Eventually they ended up calling me and urged me to fly out to some African village in the middle of nowhere. As soon as I got off the plane that’s when two sexy feminine black figures wearing ski masks hopped out the back of a pink van with yellow poke-dots, threw a bag over my head, threw me in the back of the van. To this day, I still have no clue who kidnapped me, I just know that they were very fond of the song Oh Yeah from Beuller’s Day Off.

With my arms and legs tied I was thrown on to very very cold floor. Felt like concrete. The bag was ripped from my had and I realized I was actually on a shag carpet. Like, a really really shaggy carpet. This shaggy carpet was even shaggier than a komondor.  How did they get a carpet this shaggy in such a remote village? I digress. I looked up to see Salt N’ Peppa in black robes. There was a red pentagram drawn in the middle of the floor. I assume it was with lipstick. It was really dark, but there was a black lite on. And there was about five pumpkin spice scented candles lit at the points of the pentagram with a ginger bread scented candle in the middle. There was a dead goat hanging from the ceiling with it’s intestines hanging out. There was also an infant in a cradle surrounded by copies of DJ Jazzie Jeff & Fresh Prince’s hit album ‘Rock The House’.

Working in the industry this wasn’t the first Satanic ritual I’ve been forced to witness so I knew what was going to happen. Salt N’ Pepper pricked their fingers and dripped their blood into the ginger bread scented candle. They then both grabbed a large goblet and filled with a mix of snake blood and Patron. They both took a sip and then spilled it onto the infant in the cradle. It began to scream in agony as it happened. I could see steam coming from the cradle. They both started mumbling in the ancient language of cinematic gibberish. The candles started to dim. Peppa kneeled before the crib while Salt rose a large ginsu knife that didn’t ever need to be sharpened even after cutting through a coke can with ease. She screamed “Shemhamforash! Hail Satan” before stabbing the infant in the heart. An unbelievable amount of blood poured down the stacks of Rock The House like a waterfall. I still have no idea how one infant can be filled with so much blood. All of a sudden everything went dark. I could hear very low whispers around me. I could not make anything out other than something along the lines of “cowabunga dude”. I still have no clue what that means or the slightest idea what language it was in. I just know that it sent chills down my spine. All of a sudden all of the lights came on.

I was mortified at what I saw next. Peppa had become a white girl with blond hair. And she also had a fucked up haircut. I screamed out “No, Peppa, what happened” and she said “My name is now Yolandi, for our lord wishes it to be”. Then I looked up and saw Salt still covered by the robes. In a shrill whisper all I could say is “salt”. She said “My name is Ninja now, for our lord wishes it to be”. She turned around and took the hood off. She had become one of the most evil things to ever exist in this world. A heterosexual white male. They untied me and sent me on my way. But when Yolandi was untying me this is when the most horrible fucked up thing imaginable happened. I don’t usually get too emotional, but it’s really hard for me to talk about this. It’s like I’m reliving the horrors again. The most disgusting and repulsive thing I have experienced in my life. I still have nightmares about this. Ninja walked past me and farted. That’s right, Ninja crop dusted me. Since that moment I decided that there was something wrong with these people. Ninja pretended like it didn’t happen! Didn’t even address it! Acted like it was nothing! When I brought it up they blamed me for it! So I urge you all to never ever EVER work with these people because they might fart on you too. And please, PLEASE quit supporting these crop dusters.
