when did Blaze and MNE release his first EP on vinyl? It’s a 12in picture disc. I saw one on eBay.
They never officially released it, at least not yet. It’s been one of those things that they’ve been throwing in “mystery” boxes on their site, the same as the Mostasteless vinyl that they gave out a few weeks ago.
I think they also might have possibly been selling it on the Mostasteless 20th anniversary tour that they just got off of but I don’t remember them having it for sale at Fright Fest in Detroit.

Speaking of, I’d like to really know what comes in those things…..
They sellout with the quickness too, just wondering if anyone ever actually purchased one.

I bought the one that they were selling mid-November of this year. It was advertised as an audio mystery box. I kinda got clued in by people online about what would be in it though so it wasn’t a mystery to me when I bought it. It came with the 20th anniversary vinyl reissue of Mostasteless, an autographed flat, a Mostasteless hat pin, a ticket to Twiztmas and a green rubber bracelet that said “Twiztid” on one side and “Serial Killaz” on the other.

Majik Ninja pressed up 1500 copies of Blaze’s 1st EP on vinyl because they were supposed to get the rights to the EP master from PSY for playing Juggalo Day.
Then Joe got all pissed off about the Twiztid not wanting to March, so he cancelled their deal and MNE was stuck with 1500 Blaze vinyls that they couldn’t sell.
I expect those will be given away as mystery items for a long while.

So they are using the “Mystery Box” to cover up the fact they’re selling stuff they don’t have the rights to? Would that hold up in court?
I’ve seen a lot of artists do similar things. Like putting out an album consisting entirely of stolen beats. Some of them just blatantly sell it, but I’ve seen artists run a deal where they sell a $10 sticker (which is how it gets filed on the internet and with their taxes and whatnot), and then throw in a “free CD” with it. Seems to work for the most part.

I can’t knock that hustle at all. The fact that I got to have one of my holy grail albums on vinyl (Mostasteless) makes it alright in my book.

I don’t have any problems with it. Rydas, Bloodymania, and all of those Midnight Syndicate samples were released through either shady or no fucks given tactics, and I like all of that stuff. They could probably technically sue Twiztid over a piracy claim since they are essentially selling burned copies of music that they don’t own, but I highly doubt they would do that.

If what Miklo says is true, it should sound good.

Problem being, why would the press up 1500 copies before they got the master for playing Juggalo Day? Unless they wanted to celebrate getting their hands on a master by releasing a bunch of merch that they made from CD rips, which I doubt. They would have called no takesies backsies if Psy handed that shit over before Twiztid declined the march.
So yea, it probably sounds like ass.

I mean the quality has to be shit right?
It would indeed be shit since Twiztid does not possess the master to Mostasteless as I pointed out here regarding the Mostasteless vinyl that is being given away.

Vinyl sourced from a cd will ALWAYS sound like shit. You need at least an original analog master or a 24 bit digital master. A cd is equal to 16 bit which is terrible.
I went into further detail in my first ever post here on faygoluvers.

This is the Black Friday vinyl that was shipped for free to those who spent $75 or more on their order. It was originally to be released earlier in 2017 but was discontinued because MNE doesn’t have rights to the music, Psychopathic Records does.
*The exact number of how many copies were made is near impossible to find out. The sticker read “x/1500” but some came with multiple stickers each displaying a different number, as others came with no sticker at all.

Psychopathic Records sent them a cease and desist order. It’s obvious.
The funny thing is that not only do picture discs sound shitty, but on top of that, MNE obviously could only source a cd at best, which as my topic I linked to in my last post shows, DOES NOT make for good sound on proper vinyl to begin with. Which means their Mostasteless vinyl they made and gave away in those mystery boxes (made in Czech Republic) also will likely sound shitty. MNE only has the masters to all the Twiztid albums that have made it on to vinyl from MNE so far. What they have put out, that’s it.
