WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST LISTEN TO?!

...Is how I initially felt and still find myself feeling.

How the fuck do you go from the greatness that is Twenty Seven to the meh-ness that is damn near every track of this album?
I tried, but this one just isn't for me. I'm not going to bother shitting on it, if you like it you like it.
I absolutely understand now what you meant by more pop feel and sound. It started immediately and barely stopped.

I still love Boondox, just not this album.

I really like this one. It's definitely got more of a pop feel and sounds more like his work with underground avengers vs. his old psy sound or more recent attempt at Turncoat Dirty. It would have been nice if it had a few more tracks as it seems more like an EP than an album but I think its worth a listen to. Who am I though? A ghost who lurks on this forum and seldom posts? Probably true, but a ghost who enjoyed the new boondox and apparently poppy rap along with the wicked. Also, my four year old dances to it and the same can't be said for most of the stuff I play for him.

personally I dig his slower, more sing-songy tracks so I didn't mind the overall sound of this project and it being more rooted in country than the sort of heavier/darker shit...that being said I didn't like that he redid two (?) of the songs from The Murder with just different people singing the hooks...didn't really see the point of that and would have just been dope to have two new cuts like the others to fill the album out

so yeah overall I probably like this more than the Turn Coat Dirty album he did actually but not sure it's better than The Murder

Hello, my name is Bonesaw "Mr. MNE Dick Riding Buy Everything They Release the Second It Is Announced Regardless of Anything Sumbitch" Wizardstick, and I have a confession to make.  I don't like it.

The Gorilla Voltage album, however, is fantastic in my opinion.

Track 3 was the worst. Fuck off with the auto-tune.

AXE is really the only group that interests me anymore on MNE. Unless there is a plan for another LARS project (which I doubt) the label has just kinda become blah. Way too many acts for what is still an upstart label.

(I know this has nothing to do with Boondox's album lol.)

Gorilla Voltage is extremely talented if you haven't looked far into them.  It's just that they do a lot of tracks that sound similar and you can't comprehend what Clock's saying half the time unless you're stone cold sober and really paying attention.  But here's a few examples of them showing that they can do something other than Grey rapping slow and Clock rapping fast all the time:

Metal:

Both rapping slow over melodic beat:

Acoustic:

Grey solo:

ClockworC solo:

Spoiler used just so this post isn't a mile fuckin long with all of those youtube video players.  But yeah, the potential for different styles done well is there for sure.  Me personally, I don't mind if they don't change it up much on albums.  If I want something that sounds different I'll either skip around or switch to somebody who does what I wanna hear at that particular time.

I bought their 1st MNE album (Ape X?) after liking the two singles that got put out, but it was just too monotone for me. Every track sounded the same.

Well yeah.  But if you listen to the ones I linked, they are capable of versatility.  It's just sprinkled in there.  Like I said, my solution is to listen to other people if I'm looking for a particular sound or if I want to change it up.  They're very good at the style they usually do.

G-mo has the same thing going on.  It's more or less really angry nerdcore with his flow rarely changing if at all, but he's good at it and that's where I go if I want to hear that.

ICP and Twiztid are actually fairly unique as far as completely changing up their styles at random intervals.  Not a lot of artists do that, especially in a single album.

Dick Riding

During a typical 'dick riding' session how likely is it that this happens?

Youve got a set of nuts, theyve got a set of nuts, this is something that i can imagine happening.

Does it only happen if there is a 5th ball?

Yeah bitches, im that short gentleman mentioned in that youtube video.

And the very nice, level headed guy from that other youtube video.

That depends on which way I'm facing.  Backwards, yes.  Forward, that's just teabagging the ol bellybutton.
