Thought I’d bring up this guy. What’s the overall verdict for everyone on him? I’m still confused why he’s on MNE or what Twiztid is seeing exactly. I feel it would have been more sensible to put him on Welcome to the Underground, to see how he gets over.

I think Redd could hang on MNE. I listened to Gibbys pre MNE stuff. Maybe liked three tracks, but he just doesn’t fit the bill. I’ll wait till his EP comes out. He could shock me, but I’m not seeing alot that makes me naturally think “damn this guys good”

One issue I have is he can’t take opinions very well. I saw on MNE and Faygoluvers Facebook posts virtually all the negative reactions he got he was responding to everyone that hated that Blink track. He needs to realize theirs gonna me positive and negative reactions. Make the negative reactions believers.

I understand it’s tough for these new rappers to not get over shadowed by Twiztids past. Anytime somone non Psychopathic and new guy or group gets signed. Everyone says “why’s Twiztid running with these new dudes, what happened. You guys used to be wicked.”

People remember the ICP, Twiztid days and I think it’s hard to grasp those days are over. Twiztid clearly has the need to reach further then the Juggalo crowd these days. Gibby Stites and Oh! The Horror have the potential to reach new audiences even though I don’t care for them.

His new EP dropped today and after giving it a spin I was actually impressed…haven’t heard really any of his other stuff yet but he reminds me of Lyte a bit in that he’s not really a gimmick/character just a kid who digs hip-hop…some nice bars and references throughout, Madrox fills in a lot of the EP with dope hooks and guest verses, and the rest of the features are all pretty solid too…overall worth going out of your way to check out IMO

Lyte was a very good performer when we saw him at the impromptu concert in Denver after the Con. He was concise, energetic and emphatic.

However, this just didn’t seem to translate to albums for me. Some folks are good in both areas, others just in one or the other.

I really have no opinion on Lyte (but that’s not a compliment). He never had much to say and I’m very much interested in lyrics. Just a bland artist when it comes to the actual “art”. Never saw him live so can’t comment but for me, there is much better mindless music to listen to than Lyte if you want something that you don’t have to pay attention to.

Boring music for people who don’t care about quality or subject matter. Just my opinion though.

Id struggle to decide which I liked better, Gibby or Lyte.

My 100% honest to Satan feelings is that Gibby is signed because Madrox sees himself in him and that’s literally it.

If Madrox was able to rap faster when he was still fat and young, it’d be Gibby, and I legit think that’s all it is.

Not trying to bash anybody here. But seriously Twizzler is fuckin out their minds putting Giblet Tits on the main roster. So disrespectful to the OG acts and totally degrading to the MNE brand! This must have been a George move or something. He clearly makes more decisions that Twizzler themselves. MNE needs to focus on pushing main acts like Blaze and Boondox hard as fuck not mediocre like they are now.
