as for his merch not on the site anymore? could be the same thing. maybe he figures he’d get a bigger cut selling it somewhere else. Maybe it was just part of his contract. Maybe MNE just doesn’t feel like they need to ride off the success of someone who’s no longer on the label – although that doesn’t explain people like LARS and gorilla voltage still being there.
MNE doesn’t seem to care much about that. AXE has a merch store that has nothing to do with MNE, and it’s been like that the whole time they’ve been signed. Every couple of months they release a new mask variant that sells out in about an hour each time.
On his birthday stream the other day, G-Mo said that he’s still using the MNE merch distributor for the jerseys he’s selling on his new store. I don’t think he would do that if there was a problem.

I shit the amount of money G-MO was bitching about out of my ass every month….
He signs to MNE and then is shocked they want to spend more than a thousand bucks to make a new video for him.
Majik Ninja got his cd into stores which is every independent rappers dream. His biggest shine before that was playing 4th stage at the Gathering or playing to fifty people in his hometown.
No wonder they let his contract play out. Who wants to ride with a dude who’s worried his new album can’t recoup 10 grand.
And he said he has kids too, homie should go get a real job instead of playing rapper while pushing 40.

twiztid are from the era when one video costed a quarter of a million dollars… g-mo comes across as cheap af..
“I listened to royce da 5 9s album” word? you think you got shit figured out after listening to a rap album, huh??
cpn missed the point that he stated he DID compromise but wasnt compensated for it..

I don’t think it’s necessarily about being cheap. it’s about where to spend the money and how that contributes to album sells, ticket sells, etc.
that said; I don’t care enough about this to look into what was said by who so, i could be way off here. But it seems to me like G-mo is looking at this more of “they’re spending money on a video that could go to X, Y, or Z instead”. Or maybe he’s thinking it could’ve been better spent lining his pockets instead of going to a music video. who fucking knows. But frankly I just don’t think G-mo is used to having cash support behind his stuff. Look at all of his other music videos; cheap as fuck. Shit, half of his videos I could’ve done myself. they’re nothing special. Going from doing shit like that off a nothing budget and then actually filming something with a proper music video budget? i can see that being a culture shock. He’s probably thinking “man, this is just wasted money. could’ve gone to more features on the album or something”.
But, ultimately. if the album was selling well and he was making good money; probably better money than he was on his own, I don’t get why he’s bitching about how they’re spending their money to help support him.

he claimed he was charged 10,000 for one video.. & he states he doesnt know the books & how much he should actually be getting for merch but he feels it should be more, as he claims he made more money with less fans when he was independent..

I don’t believe anyone is sour. GMo didnt get as big as he felt he should but i dont believe thats MNEs fault. G Mo was know for having a shitty attitude. He always argued with people on his facebook/IG. I mean people he could easily ignore. I heard he was like that at Astro. Very thinned skinned for someone with a Filth gimmick.
I still got his back though. If he does start dissing that doesnt bother me. Its hip hop.

Imagine if he pops up taking a picture with Violent J while wearing a Psychopathic jersey…..wait where have we seen that involving someone😂😂😂
All jokes aside though their was no way G Mo was gonna get all the music videos he wanted. I’m still baffled MNE overspent that much on a artist that was on his second album. I wouldn’t be shocked if MNE has overspent over signing artists and doing buiness as they’ve been.
Psychopathic has been very reserved in recent years. My belief is its because of the changes in the music scene. I don’t expect to see Psychopathic have a roster like they had from 97-13. Maybe sign someone like they did Ouija Mac and give him some exposure with one album released on Psychopathic. Then let him take the bull by the horns. Sink or swim mentality.

GMo didnt even like this genre of music. Hes stated several times he hated horrorcore and didnt even listen to many people on the scene. Ive heard him make claims how he should be bigger than Tyler The Creator. Also heard him complain about having only 30,000 subscribers. I’m not sure how old this guy is but honestly dont think he knows much buisness. He heard a Royce song and now feels like hes all in the know now.

Bigger than Tyler? Tyler is a creative genius.
Tyler actually writes music.
Shit, Tyler can rap with more than one flow.
Almost all of GMOs stuff is pseudo lyrical shock rap. With the same flow. Maybe two. Which is FUN for a while, but you gotta switch it up.
I have the sme issue with Madchild to be honest.

I like G Mo, but yeah I agree his music is just shock, rap with game references and gay slurs. I do agree most of his work just blended together as the same. My Filthy Spirit Bomb was the gem he released.
Unfortunately signing with record labels like MNE or Psychopathic doesn’t mean the same as it did 20 years ago. It’s good for the name exposure but look at this money lost by G Mo because of label mis management.
I expect this to happen more on MNE. I still believe Oh The Horror will be one and done. Mainly because, I don’t know when exactly they signed to MNE “Underground” but the album was kinda weak and released during a pandemic. They can’t even get in those sales just touring with Twiztid right now, for the foreseeable future. Right now their seems to be zero push trying to cash in on actual Halloween season coming up.
