okay so he was on a successful TV show before becoming a rapper?…your point is still lost to me…2Pac acted throughout his hip hop career…Eminem did a movie…ICP did 2 movies…Twiztid were on a USA show…and I know your argument will be that they were playing themselves or playing similar roles to themselves but if your point about Drake is that he's a pussy or something why wouldn't he be on that show…I'm not sure what your point or complaint is

Lol I was just saying that for all the Wayne and Drake fans on here cuz they would love that shit….Hence the maybe……also one of my favorite lines is “the only thing that matters about your album is who else you got rappin on it”….you probably know who said that.?.! I still to this day do not understand why there are so many features on albums. Nobody can do shit on their own it's so sad to me…..but that's a whole different story…..also I was trying to bring the topic of discussion back to the thread name….

features are fun to hear on albums..yes its dope when artists just do an entire album of them with no features or nothing but collaborations and whatnot are fun to listen to when they're done right and sometimes can be refreshing on albums especially if its only one or 2…and obviously with projects like Independence Day artists like to release full projects of collaboration songs (though that album didn't end up being that way) just to do something different and work with a lot of artists they want to…its not about being able to do shit on your own or not

Ya like you said there are fun to hear when done right and they don't occur so often….And when the concept of the album like independents day is to have features then I'm fine with it…..But I disagree about the not being able to do your own shit part….(I'm not talking about Twiztid here) There are a lot of people I would love to collaborate with but I don't try to dedicate every song I write to that like most artists. They don't have shit to say and have others rap on their albums to fill the void of what they can't accomplish themselves. Or they do it to get themselves some more exposure which I guess is fine with me but again why do other people have to make you shine…Do it your fuckin self….99% of these people can't even compose music and just buy beats….That's the main reason I don't call a lot of shit nowadays music, it's just noise for lack of a better term..

I understand what u mean…I'm not a fan of new artists covering their first album or w/e with a load of big name features and whatnot because a lot of times it just sounds like too much…I prefer simpler stuff with a few collabs maybe but enough of the main artist whose record it belongs to to where you know it belongs to them
