That sounds hella fun. Sometimes i wish i could go to more big events and shows like that.
I've been in the military for over 15 years and am very fortunate that I've gotten the opportunity to travel as much as I do. Shit, I just transferred from LA and am in Philly now.
The best advice I can give you is to pick an event, say fuck it, and tell yourself you're going. For me it's easier to cut costs and put away some money. I thought Salt Lake was wild after AOTN. I ended up driving back there for the ill fated Milenko and Friends tour last August.

We all know you werent gonna like it lol. I take it you werent gonna go to the show anyways? So I was spot on.Your simile is off too. Be more like Joe Walsh doing eagles shit on a solo tour. It would be different if they were doing j and shaggys verses but they ain't.
Yeah I was trying to think of a more appropriate simile but i was time-pressed on a 10 min break.
And I'd still go to see Twiztid. Depends on if I ever get a fucking minute of free time.

My biggest hurdle honestly is a combination of not driving and social anxiety. Not sure i could do a big event like that, and getting there..oof

I had the hardest time getting over my social anxiety. The constant moving forced me to step out of my comfort zone. It takes some time, I purposely went to a lot of shows solo just to get over it. I mean, if I didn't talk to at least one person at least I got a good show out of it. And as far as driving, I don't know how much you trust Lyft or Uber but that's usually my go to.
I think you'd be surprised going to juggalo events by yourself. I now wear something I know will garner attention and possibly start a conversation like an old jersey or shirt. More often than not I'll make a handful of contacts or friends. 15 years later and I know people all over the country.
And if you're ever in Philly hit me up. We can be awkward together.

Oh yeah, that's what I meant. I've gone to several Juggalo Days by myself. Cool thing about the bigger events is that its mostly compromised of non-locals.
I almost ended up traveling to the gathering by myself this year. I am now taking my mom ... about to be one hell of a social experiment.

I don't like it. No matter how you slice it, rationalize it, or reason about it. It is just like if McCartney went out and did a fucking Lennon show or vice versa. I think its fucking lazy and borderline creepy.
I understand your point, but Paul totally dedicates part of his set to John's solo music and part of it to George's solo music (I've seen him play Imagine, Working Class Hero, Something, and My Sweet Lord).

Hahahah at first I thought you meant Paul as in Monoxide... in like "damn, Mr. Methric is doing Lennon covers now?!?!"
But I suppose if the tracks are done in honor of the original group, then that is a different papaya all together. It doesnt come across that Twiztid and Blaze are performing their Dark Lotus tracks to preserve the memory of the bond that they all once (seemed to) share. Wouldn't it be dope if they shout out shit like "Much love to Shaggs, J and ABK y'all!" during the set? Or if ICP suddenly stopped their recent set and covered "We Don't Die"?
Or... if at this year's Gathering... suddenly Violent J, Madrox, Anybody Killa, Blaze, Shaggs and Monoxide all just came out for a huge Lotus set? With no foreshadowing at all?
A guy can dream...
..and then Marz came out and-... hahhah just playin... let's not get too silly.

Dude, I dont care what side you fall on or if you dont fall on a side at all, we would all collectively lose our shit if they all got together as a surprise.
That would be so fucking awesome to see a lotus tour. I would pay carnival of carnage show prices(wtf happened to that documentary btw lmao) to see that shit happen.
We can dream.

I think this is great. It's their music they can do what they want with it.
And I've long said icp need to start closing with let it rain from the mud water air and blood. That track is the perfect Faygo Armageddon song and it kills me that it's just collecting dust.
Twiztid and blaze doing their verses doesn't do it for me. I'm not likely to go to that tour since v Ron moved and violent dope is not going to shows right now. But I'm sure the people who do go will have fun.
And at the end of the day, they're just songs

I mean, I think I've made it pretty clear that I'm firmly in the "twiztid are in the right here" camp on the larger issue here.
But I would be fucking ecstatic if they squashed the beef and started working together again. PSY was at its best when it was ICP, twiztid, blaze, and ABK.
Frankly, I don't think it'll ever happen. I don't think anyone thinks it'll happen. It sucks, but that's life.

^^ I tend to agree with that. Based on the lyrics in the music though I think Mono is more upset by the fans that turned their backs.
I am stubborn as fuck myself so I can totally understand neither camp wanting to smooth shit over. Both camps feel slighted.
Life goes on though. There is so much good music out there to discover that I'm ok if I never see another Lotus album.
I'm highly appreciative of what we did get. To me, every single fucking one of those Lotus albums are top notch.
Everything from the occult and mystical themes to the unique sounds each one have. Fucking perfection.
Cept mars' shit. Sorry.

One difference between the Esham beef and the twiztid beef is that there weren't people on the internet talking shit ALL THE TIME to both parties. That keeps the wounds fresh.
lol.. hardcore Esham fans hated juggalos.. there was plenty of back forth from fans..
I think when twiztid left they shouldve said everything in that lost j-10 interview was true.. that J was fuckin over blaze and they were gonna start a new label so BLAZEs' career wouldnt die.. and they didnt want to work with psy anymore because of that.. i think that wouldve garnered them more support and less questioning from the fans..

My ass it's all ICP'S fault lol. This is ridiculous. We all have our opinions but none of us really know. Either way, I love the music.
Nah. I don't think it's ICP's fault.
I think it's mostly violent J's fault, specifically. Lets all be honest and real with ourselves. Violent J is the creative force and main business manager of PSY. Everything they do from a business and creative perspective is ultimately J's decision. and they don't really hide that fact, it's not some super deep secret.
We don't know *exactly* what happened. No. But we can all form our opinions based on the information that IS public. and based on that information; J seems like a fucking control freak. Why do you think so many people leave PSY? everyone who has ever left has had something negative to say about J, specifically; not about shaggy. not about jump. about fucking VIOLENT. J. and you can only use "of course they're talking shit, they're bitter they got dropped from the label" so many fucking times before it become obvious who the actual problem is.
J is a great fucking CREATIVE force but I don't think he's able to run a business. He wants to run that shit like some kind of mafia where he's on top and everyone kisses his ring. and he's pissed off not that twiztid left. I don't think he's even pissed off about them wanting masters to their own records that much. I've always got the impression that his MAJOR problem is that he's upset that he wanted to ruin Otis's career, he wanted to blackball that mother fucker and twiztid said "No. he's talented. You have this mother fucker making beats for everyone, writing his own raps, engineering everything, paying him so little he's gotta sleep on your floor, you act like you're doing him a favor by LETTING him sleep on your floor. and you wanna throw that away? fuck it, we'll take him." They didn't respect his "authority" as the "duke", and that pisses him off.
