You're misunderstanding him, homie. He's simply talking about what disingenuousness is. It's just difficult to give a clear example when discussing something as subjective as musical preference. 

A better example would be Exxon conducting studies in the late 70's and early 80's into whether or not humans contributed to climate change, finding out it does, then subsequently lobbying for and supporting climate change denial.

No, it couldn't. But, it COULD mean someone who supposedly is a Mensa member playing dumb and trying to imply that because I said in an unrelated thread that I am not editorializing on a specific article, I am unable to voice my opinion on any political issue.
