Apparently, they sent a cease and desist order to the company CPN paid to make carnival of coonery shirts; because he already made and sold and shipped some carnival of coonery t-shirts to customers. And the image on the shirt has their (Twiztid) likeness on it without their permission. According to the complaint it contains something that is trademarked. CPN says no there is no trademark because "The facepaint is not direct...you can't copyright painting your face...the specific design that is Twiztid is not represented in the shirt." They also said that if Viral Style allows the shirt to be printed and sold they will go to their (Twiztid's or Viral Style's...that is not clear when CPN uses "their") fanbase and let them know that viral style promotes racism. CPN also says that he can just claim the two guys on there are changed enough that they are not really Twiztid in court and he would get away with it.
CPN is daring them to do it because he says he can slap them with a countersuit saying Mono on some brunch and bakes and also G-Mo Skee on Facebook have uttered false statements amounting to slander, which is actionable.

The fact that Twiztid is filing a lawsuit on some youtuber kinda speaks volumes of their bitchyness
Hmmm. Sounds like your kind of glad now that you know this information. Don't you like being informed? I'm only interested in putting accurate information out there so people can make judgments for themselves. For example, I think Twiztid deserves their masters and are correct about the juggalo march and 17%rs misunderstanding this whole NGIC 2011 report, but they don't need to go SJW about the Supavillans song that they were a part of years ago, and they probably don't need to bother CPN over a shirt. If they had legal grounds to demand a cease and desist order, then fine. But trying to threaten Viral Style into stopping the shirt by telling lots of people on Facebook and social media that they promote racism which could cost them business, that smells like blacmail; which is illegal. That is what CPN is getting at in the second video I posted.

In the final analysis, CPN is a big fat sweaty homosexual Arizonian who works at H and R Block a few months a year, then allows himself to be laid off so he can act like a slob 24/7.
He also lives with what the gay community refers to as a "beard".
Not a surprise he takes to youtube to be the Keemstar of the Juggalo world, gay dudes love excess drama.

Na homie I aint been waiting for shit. I been checking in on the situation til it turned into a petty back and forth empty threats and bullshit. I stopped after mono threatened him saying he was going to send someone down to az to fuck him up but once again it was all talk. I dont even know wtf their fighting about now but its just like ridiculous reading the words twiztid files lawsuit on cpn. Like these dudes got millions and their worried about a youtube motherfucker?? Idk thats just me

who would win in a fight between cpn and 20 double cheeseburgers?

Theyre probably not worried about him. But CPN is a fucking hater, and hes trying to make money off of being a fucking hater. Now, if you were them, would you want someone profit off of hating you?
this exactly, plus it's a slippery slope for the company if you let one person rip off your likeness then what's gonna stop everyone from bootlegging your shit

CPN does have a point that it may go nowhere due to the implicit threat of blackmail which could lead to a countersuit he could launch that they do not want to deal with. All they have to do is withdraw that threat to expose the t shirt company as racists on social media, and they're back to normal. CPN doesn't seem to understand that the argument that they didn't invent face painting is irrelevant. If it's obvious that it's them and CPN is selling a product with their image and likeness on it without their permission, and their faces and images ARE in fact trademarked, then YES CPN, you can be held liable. Again, the Kreyz McCormick nintendo example quoted above applies.
CPN also is very foolish. He claims that on his shirts it doesn't look enough like them. That he has done something to the images that he can claim it is not necessarily them and thus no infringement. However the shirt is based off of the image of the Carnival of Coonery that he put on his YOUTUBE BROADCAST. And anyone who looks at that will CLEARLY SEE that it's Jamie and Paul. So it would be a hard sell in court for CPN to say, "Yeah I spent all this time making the logo for my website with Twiztid and then talking shit about Twiztid AFTER I put up this logo on my website, but this time on a t shirt, it's different. It's totally not Twiztid. Trust me, fam."
No court is going to buy such a ridiculous story. At least, I personally wouldn't.

I'm not one of those "legal scholars" like we got running around here that knows all kinds of big words n' shit, but...
Are we talking about the same band that regularly has Jason Voorhees & Michael Myers appear with them on-stage? The same band that uses those two alongside with TMNT and The Power Rangers and various other cultural IPs...
Is threatening to sue someone for INFRINGMENT?!
If only ICP had locked down THEIR cultural iconography before they traded the Masters for Gathering performances... What then?

Why don't you explain to me how having two guys on stage for about 90 minutes in those masks violates anything or breaks any copyright law?
If only ICP had locked down THEIR cultural iconography before they traded the Masters for Gathering performances… What then?
What does this even mean? I fail to see how ICP giving Twiztid back their masters so Twiztid can press vinyl and cd copies violates any law regarding ICP trademarks...
