You’re still missing the irony.
Killing people? No sweat.
Baby raping? YOU MONSTER.
It’s all shock value. Period. If it rubs you wrong, it’s doing exactly what it’s supposed to do.
As if rapping about something, in this genre in particular, means you’re all for it. For fuck’s sake, Shaggy 2 Dope has a line which makes him, according to that logic, comparable to Osama Bin Laden. Shock value’s a massive component of horrorcore, if not it’s defining feature. If you don’t dig something, that’s fine, but getting all up in arms about it as it pertains to a genre based around shock and horror? That’s just plain stupid.

The entire point of shock value is crossing the line. Your line is different than others; there’s nothing weird about that. We all have boundaries and things which hit nerves for us. But to act like he’s out of line because he offended you…when he’s a horrorcore artist? That’s, again, just plain stupid.
And, okay, using the logic you just used; next time you see your father, think about him being kidnapped and beaten by some maniac, who then proceeds to hang him up and stab him. Repeatedly, viciously, brutally in the face, deforming him, as he begs for mercy. Choking on his own blood as he slowly, painfully, bleeds out. (Blood…All I Need.) Or, perhaps, for no logical reason, some mentally deranged man from next door broke into your parents home and shot your younger sibling in the head. When your father came to help, this same man shredded your fathers neck, and then stabbed the shit out of your helpless mother. (In My Room.) Or when you kiss your wife/significant other, imagine she happened to be in a record label tower for work when Shaggy 2 Dope hijacked a plane and flew into it. No, really, take all the images you’ve seen on 9/11, and apply those to her. Shaggy said he was going to do that. (Cartoon Nightmares.)
This can go on and on. The bottom line is, if you’re going to listen to this genre of music, there’s a very good chance you’ll be offended by something. But that’s not on the artist; it’s on you.

all valid points and all in which you would see in a horror flick. you will most likely not see baby rape.

Well…

It’s fine if that crosses the line: it should. I just take issue with the concept that the fault in such lies with Gordy, or any artist so long as they’re not actually performing atrocious acts, be it baby rape, murder, or listening to Nickelback.
I realize, mind you, that I may be in the minority in that I love having the line crossed. Being offended, shocked, disgusted. I find all of these reactions an absolutely exhilarating reminder of our shared humanity. But, again, that’s just me.
In any case, in regards to ABK, it’s a good question. We’ll see if Twiztid and Blaze leaving will embolden him to try that again. I’m still not entirely convinced him and Paul are on great terms yet. I could be wrong, though.

i dont see ICP or Twiztid or whatever, on FB stating how they want to kill someone or none of that jazz.
however i DO see gordy crossing it over to social media which leads me to beleive thats how he could really be in real life. probaly why his ass got shot. lol
but Twiztid did say we would be suprised, if im not mistaking

I agree with Nemo on everything he’s said about Gordy.
The difference is I listen to it AND rap about it because I’m a hateful person. I don’t find babies sexy, they disgust me with their snobby noses and shit, but it’s some hateful shit. So it matches my hateful self. I’d never do that to a baby. Oh, and I also talk about that shit all the time.
Also to add to that ‘imagine this’ theme, ICP have a whole song about killing children, imagine walking out into the hallway when all of a sudden your foot gets caught into the mouth of your decapitated child.
And how come BLH doesn’t get shit for when he talks about killing kids?
I honestly think Gordy has a much bigger heart than what he shows, he’s just a hateful person.

I don’t dislike King Gordy because of his shock value. To me, it just seems like ALL he has is shock value. He seems to try way too hard. It’s all “how fucked up can I make this?” instead of “How can I use this fucked up situation to make something interesting and meaningful.” There are movies that do this too.
All in all, it’s a matter of opinion.
When it comes to minors and sexual references, we can’t forget “The Neden Game”
“For only 13 she got some big tits!”
Also, there is a difference between pedophilia and ephobophilia.

King Gordy Sings The Blues. Nuff said. Whole album where he doesn’t mention shock value shit even once. Dope album, very meaningful album. Especially Bridges To Burn. He does have meaningful songs. Like, Over. Over he talks about how he feels guilty because he thinks all of his crazy lyrics are holding his rap mates back and that’s the reason he’s where he’s at despite having Eminem back his first album and how the people who essentially gave him the name King Gordy are turning their backs on him.

Im convinced those who thinks all he talks about is baby rapin has never actually listened to him. He mentions it in a few lines on a couple songs on JCM. Thats it. I dont agree with joking about it either, but he has a whole catalogue besides the few offending tracks. I just dont listen to those songs.
There's a gateway in our minds
