CPN near the end of his latest show is not only asking why MNE flyers and events have been silent on Gorilla Voltage? He almost insinuates like it's a dirty answer that nobody wants to touch; not even Chuck Reeves. Time stamp given. Just hit play.

The thing is, Chuck has ALREADY discussed Gorilla Voltage a little bit. He did say perhaps the contract is up and that's all there is to it. It was a small contract for two or three albums, a few videos, tours, etc and that's it. Nothing more. Nothing less. No secret. No scandal. Remember, MNE aren't signing artists, giving advances and telling them to record albums. This isn't the 90's anymore when all music is physically bought in stores. Chuck even said G-Mo's Filthy Spirit Bomb was totally done, but MNE just bought it.
He says just look at all the posters, promotions for tours and events for MNE and NO GORILLA VOLTAGE. He does say, "I'm not telling you I know why. I"m not telling you I've known for a couple months." He says it in a really sarcastic tone to indicate that he does know something. Apparently, something that CPN thinks Chuck is afraid to discuss. Maybe...just maybe...I'm speculating...maybe CPN has a conspiracy theory that because some of the Ape-X cd's by Gorilla Voltage were cdr (that was later corrected and anyone who got cdr were later given proper ones), that this was a violation of any type of contract that GV signed with MNE. Well unless some inside source gives him an example of an MNE contract, (like someone gave Chuck a Hatchet House contract that he used to expose how Psychopathic basically fucks their artists), CPN probably doesn't have shit IF this is in fact his conspiracy theory.

We covered this over a month ago-

Also when I did a little digging I found some posts where GV was begging ninjas to suscribe to their youtube channel, because they had not even reached 1000 subscribers there, even after being on MNE for a few years.
Pretty sure their sales were total dogshit, and they've been put out to pasture without so much as a whimper.

"I have an incredible ear for talent" - Paul Methric.
I'm not saying they arent talented. Not saying that they are even the worst on the MNE label (not even close), but they are a nice example of a reality check. Some folks were talking like MNE was going to redefine the entire structure of independent horrorcore-ish music in the United States of America. Like they were immune to the realities that every other label has to go through in time. Not true.
I wish em the best. Even if they are still on the label.

They were signed because Twiztid saw potential. They were also signed as a favor to kung fu vampire who wasn’t in a position to sign an artist. They’re contract was up and either they decided not to resign with MNE or MNE decided not to sign them again. Or they could be taking a break. They were talking about solo albums a while back so who knows really.

They had talent. Grade A rapping ability for sure, but absolutely no charisma. They were totally uninteresting, simply not entertaining. Unfortunately for them, it takes both.
My thing about Gorilla voltage is they are talented fast rappers....but damn their chorus's are way to simplistic and don't catch on. Both MNE albums suffered from the same problem. Plus listen to the production and beats. No switch ups nothing to creative. Just the same beat being rapped over seemingly on a 3 or 4 minute loop. Listen to any song off their MNE albums. The beats are to repitiative and get stale.

CPN made a video recently. I think the comments are the most important part of the youtube video.
