I record on the Garage Band app, because it can run in the background so I can play the beat and look at the lyrics and record, and it has effects. I’ll export the audio into iMovie, and I’ll save the beat in the Camera Roll, so I’ll use the beat as the video, and the recording as the audio. Mix it in, and change the volume levels until it sounds right. Then export it into Voice Record Pro, so it’s just audio. Then upload it into YouTube.

My setup is pretty basic. I’m more of a Dj than a producer. I got the pioneer ddj sx 2 for my mixes and just use fl studio 11 for beats. Also, I’m not a rapper so I don’t have a legit mic. I try and make more EDM than anything so fl studio works well enough for me.

if the ep goes well, ill probably look into buying a mic. i just cant justify it atm. i am not going to buy a mic thats gunna get used once then chucked in a box never to be used again. i used to have a pretty decent mic like 10 years ago, but same thing. got used like 3 times, then boxed and eventually thrown out.

that is some seriously whack cable management motherfucker. invest in some 5 cent reversible cable ties. mine use dot look like that. then i got inside dogs… and a puppy that likes electricity. he ate 4 phone chargers (while they were turned on mind you) and then he ate most of the power cables on my pool pump. yeah that wasnt cheap to fix.

Novo… you said you got a Blue Snowball?  how do you like it, and are you happy with it?  I like mine. the quality is pretty damn goo, even if your just plugging into your laptop, with no other equipment.

its also less embarrassing when sending your verse to someones project. 

oh dude, its fucking amazing. the quality is well…. yeah. best investment evar. ask @demonicswagger how my verses compared on the track he is supposed to be sending me. yeah im looking at you.

In other news, if i get a chance (hard with family here atm, got like 4 kids running around the house like ALL the time) hopefully early next week ive got a little freestyle im gunna put up on my soundcloud to give everyone an idea of how i do. ive done the verse and i found a beat i made and a homie remixed 10 years ago. its only like 35 seconds long but im super happy with my verse so im gunna attempt to put it all together myself. 

But thank sean, it was you that decided my mic for me hahaha. i dont know how to upload pics to the site, i havent bothered to figure it out. and also my entire setup is black, so when i take a photo it just look like a black square with 2 white screens. haha ,aybe if i figure it out ill show. 

micrphone is still packed away, but usually its parked to the left of the screen where you cannot really see it anyways.
