Every religious person cherry picks their religion to conform to their own needs or views so people from all religions will probably still like her, but in the eyes of the god described in their holy books, Iris will be an abomination. That’s pretty hardcore.

Truuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuth, that’s why apologetic are friggen huge, and I mean that in a literal sense, it takes a shit ton of pages of stretching plausibility to make any of this shit sound, you know, not absolutely horrible. Next time somebody says that the bible is the “source of all morality” show them Deuteronomy 22:28-29 (I say show them because 90% of the time they haven’t seen it because 99% of haven’t read it) and watch all the excuses pour out like water from a fucking faucet. 

If ever it takes a full book to tell people that another book wasn’t full of absolute hatred and idiocy, either your full of bullshit and it is as horrible as it seems at face value, Or, alternatively, the book was written by the most incompetent person to ever live, who failed so tremendously to communicate their ideas that they should be ignored completely on account of being too stupid to live. if it took 3000 years for people to start interpreting the book correctly, then the book is written horribly, unless that was the intention, and if that was the case, then every crusade, every oppressive society, every gay person stoned to death, every woman forced to marry her rapist, all of it, would be fully representative of god’s intentions. If it was written by a perfect being, then it should convey ideas flawlessly, and you shouldn’t need apologetics. 

If somebody says to kill gay people, no amount of bible college will change what they said.  

The excuse I get way too often is that it was written by fallible men who misrepresented God’s word and inserted their own personal ideals into it. Which is retarded.

Let’s just come to terms with the fact that most religions literally teach hate in it’s doctrine. And quit cherry picking. If I can dissect the bigotry of Christianity then I should be able to dissect the bigotry of Christianity and Judaism.
