It’s not free, smack, if you pay taxes for it. The costs are just shared with many others. Which makes sense, health and good education are necessary for having a fair chance in life and shouldnt be reserved for the rich.

I hear Canada has a multitier health system (meaning bribe$ get u pushed 2 the front of the line). Also people with resources seem 2 come 2 the U.S. for lifesaving treatments (e.g. chemo, etc.) instead of waiting longer 4 Canadian death panels 2 authorize their treatments. Maybe the ancient rumors are true & we do indeed get what we pay 4 (& socialism always ends in starvation & genocide.)

There are 3 factors to any health care system. You can have any 2 but nobody has devised a system thT provides all 3. Those factors are quality, affordability, and universality…

Canada and the U.K. for example use a Single Payer system, which like Smack said has the affordability (medicine is very cheap) and the universality. What it utterly lacks is quality…ask your average Canadian how long a wait for a doctors appt is or even how long they wait for an E.R. visit? The best quality surgeons and cancer treatment is here in the United States because we haven’t socialized our healthcare like them, and as Krunk pointed out, anyone with $ in Canada or the U.K. who can afford to do so will travel to America to get the best possible care they can, which ain’t there at home under Single Payer…

In most of the Scandinavian/Nordic counties they don’t use Single Payer, they operate under a healthcare system that provides quality and universality, but NOT affordability. This is why their system is often praised worldwide, everyone is covered and it’s good healthcare, BUT those niggas pay 50-60% of their income in taxes to pay for their vast social programs, which is utterly UNFATHOMABLE to an average American… 

The current American system gets chided worldwide and at home by retards who don’t see the big picture. Do some research yourself leftists, what country (by FAR) contributes to medical research and innovation the most on this planet?

I’ll give you a hint, it’s the country that allows the innovations to be profitable and gives them motivation to make new technologies and breakthroughs…

While crybaby leftists will declare healthcare is a right, and that we’re oh so evil because we don’t guarantee health insurance through government mandate, utterly fail to realize that the entire world benefits from our healthcare innovations, that would not exist if we didn’t have the most open free market system in the developed world…

my mom was diagnosed with bladder cancer 2 months ago, 3 weeks later she had surgery and now she is cancer free went pretty fucking fast.

those wait times are a myth unless it’s non serious like a hernia then you could wait years for the surgery

my sister is a PAB in English it means personal care attendant  it’s not quite a nurse but almost is she works in a old folks home and not a hospital.

and at her workplace not a single case of corona this entire time.

like I said for anything MAJOR it goes pretty quick but like I mentioned with the hernia my uncle has one and it’s been 3 years and still no surgery last year my father got a hernia and his ballsack grew to the size of a grapefruit I brought him to the hospital he had surgery the very next morning and was released the very next day.

I know I shouldn’t engage in this, but, I never understand the right’s views on abortion. The right are the ones that claim they want less government and they’re all about “freedom”….yet they have some weird hang up about a woman’s right to choose and want to impose more restrictions. That comes across as hypocrisy to me. I’m not saying late term abortions should be legal or anything like that so please do not twist my words or exaggerate. But it’s just such a weird thing for people to spend time and thought about. If my neighbor gets an abortion, that’s her choice and has no impact whatsoever on anybody else and I have no reason at all to care about that or want anything to change in terms of her ability to choose.

Trumpers seem convinced that now that Biden is president that babies are just going to be aborted all over the streets or something. There are already laws and regulations, I don’t understand what you think is going to happen.
