Men think they are entitled to women and their bodies and think they are entitled to using women as a crutch for their emotional problems because men don’t know how to process emotions like an actual human being because we’re taught that it’s not ‘manly’ to do so. Is that me blaming men for everything? No. That’s me recognizing a problem, that I’m a part of, and saying, “Hey, we should change this.” Then again, that’s pesky nuance and you can’t comprehend nuance. Especially self reflective nuance where you have to admit guilt. Especially when it challenges the status quo that you’re comfortable with. To be honest, I’m really uncomfortable with seeing how the world changes when we abandon the patriarchal bigotry we’ve grown accustomed to because it’s all I’ve known. Even in abandoning capitalism. I hate capitalism but it’s scary as hell to think of living a different way because all I’ve ever lived in is capitalism.

Maybe I should join a commune. See how it is. Maybe I’d be happier.
