However, you might want to know that regardless of what “guest” thinks, there is an objective truth. These investigations and indictments are concerned with evidence. That evidence is going to bury the Orange Man regardless of what “guest” or anyone else thinks. 

Trump fundraising arm is running out of money

The former president has spent more than $40m on legal fees in 2023 already, US media reports

A political campaign group supporting Donald Trump has spent $40 million (£31.1m) on his legal fees and is running out of money, according to US media reports.

Save America has requested the return of a donation of $60m it made to another political action committee (PAC) supporting the former president, the New York Times reported.

It comes as he faces a blizzard of litigation that he is not undertaking to pay for himself.

Details of the PAC’s plea are expected to emerge in the latest filings from the Federal Election Commission, which are due to be published this week.

The Save America PAC was founded after Mr Trump’s defeat in 2020, initially soliciting donations to bolster his claim that he really won the election – a view rejected by scores of judges in cases across the country.

It has been his primary fundraising arm, paying for legal fees, rallies and staff costs.

Donald J Trump for President 2024 is his principal election fundraising committee which, according to the Federal Election Commission had collected more than $85m in donations.

Up until earlier this year, 99 per cent of donations went to the campaign fund and one per cent to Save America. The split was adjusted in late February or early March with 10 cents in the dollar going to Save America.

But this has failed to stave off a cash crisis as the court cases mount.

Earlier this week, the Washington Post disclosed that Mr Trump has spent $40m on legal fees in 2023 alone in addition to the $16m spent in the previous two years.

Mr Trump has already been indicted in New York for allegedly falsifying business records in relation to a reported hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels and in Florida for allegedly obstructing justice and illegally retaining classified documents.

The former president has also received a “target letter” from special prosecutor Jack Smith indicating he potentially faces charges in relation to the Jan 6 insurrection.

And within weeks it is widely expected that Mr Trump could be charged in Georgia for his attempt to overturn his election defeat in the state.

With considerable success, the former president has used the raft of prosecutions to raise cash. He raked in $4m in donations in the 24 hours after the first criminal indictment against him was announced at the end of March.

And last week, he pleaded for more cash as he accused Joe Biden of targeting him.

“And now, with another unjust indictment just days before the July end-of-month deadline, Crooked Joe has upped the ante once more.

“This deadline is no longer just about outraising Biden, it’s about proving that no matter how many witch hunts these Deep State thugs might drag us through, good and honest Americans will still not bend the knee to tyranny.”

The Telegraph has approached the Trump campaign for comment.
