I’ve backed off a lot simply due to time constraints. I’d rather be off doing other things too. I mostly ignore krunk these days. In this post i even agreed with her. 

But yes, in general, i do feel the need to argue the points. Why? Because people who aren’t us read the boards. People who could be us read some of these posts and they make judgments about us. 

I’ve gotten tons of people hitting me up, here and at gotjs, telling me that they don’t feel welcome here because of the white supremacists and homophobes that have festered here. 

The best I can do, and the best you can do, etc, is to let any on lookers know that these parts are home to all types. If we all belong, then let us -all- be free to argue from our perspectives. And while I will never break through to the likes of krunk, there are victories. 

A while back, around my finals, i took a break from social media and the board and i got a pm on twitter from someone who I won’t name. They thought I was being depressed and ghosting and wanted me to know that although they got very defensive when I called them racist during a fight,  they had since come to see the role they were playing in enabling shit like what happened Charlottesville.

It’s also important to look at what I say. I used to just quote people and Express soft disagreement. I was told I shouldn’t do that. Then i expressed hard disagreement. Then I started linking people to better information. Then I just argued. 

Each step, was met with open hostility and antagonizing. Which is whatever. But why is it okay to call someone a faggot but not a homophobe?

I am completely non political and non-confrontational. Id rather watch real housewives of Batswana, than the election any day. I know that no matter who wins or loses I still have to get up and go to work tomorrow and every day/week/month that follows. Pay more taxes, possibly. Pay more for health care, possibly. I was looking for a job when I found this one so everything may change and I can accept that. Death is an option and I feel I can deal with that easier than most. Its all bound to happen.
I still feel like im the new guy trying to blindly feel my way around a group that has known each other for quite a while. I wanna be a part of you all and I enjoy reading tid bits of things I don’t know. Then this junk pops up and it becomes blah. Just trying to find a bit of solid ground so not every post has to be argued upon.

You should be more political.  Your landlord is political. Your boss is political. They use their political weight to keep your wages low and your rent high. 

And while the major parties are very narrowly different on some issues and it mostly comes down to which rich asshole is trying to get richer we are at an interesting point in history. currently one side is using racism, homophobia, and other bigotries to get poor, scared, uneducated white people to vote against their better interests. We got self identified white supremacists marching in the streets and our very once sided government has removed them from the terror watch list. After they murdered a woman. We’ve got asylum seekers having their children stolen from them, having their children subjected to all sorts of abuse. And the hard fought victories in the lgbt community are being threatened. 

That might not mean much to you while you’re hustling back and forth to work, getting by paycheck to paycheck and hoping to avoid a major health problem or automotive repair bill. But you can’t get ahead if you’re only looking at what’s right in front of you. 

Meanwhile we got billionaires funding all these crimes against humanity in your name, so that these white supremacists vote how they want. 

Perhaps I should stay out of the political thread but it seems to go other places.
Was working on a project tonight and this one caught my attention, ill apologize that ive had a couple drinks but that’s when I get to talking. Ask around…  

Or you should read more. Talk more. Think about what’s important to you and figure out who is making that more difficult. And don’t apologize for it. We’re here to build community and we can only do that if we talk to each other about shit that actually means something.

I never considered the idea of people seeing these forums and then, most fucking unfortunately, seeing something from Psyral or Krunk. What a horrendous first impression they are.

If anyone is reading this for the first time:

Most Juggalos are great people. Most Juggalos have at least some reverence for equality and loathe bigotry. These Trump supporters DO NOT REPRESENT US. This is a freakish minority of truly bad human beings who get their dopamine kicks by posting embarrassingly odd political memes without facts. This isnt a Republican and Democratic rivalry: make no mistake that these people are THE ENEMY. They are evil, and we do not support them. They are perhaps suffering from dementia or early onset Alzheimer’s, but the wisest of us have no sympathy for them.
