if edibles ever become legal here they won't look like candy for kids that's for sure.  

Colorado has been following suit with not selling anything that is cartoony or appealing to children for years, man. 

I've been in the industry long enough to see where they cant even sell weed-shaped gummies from the Americanna brand anymore. 

And every INDIVIDUAL piece of edible has to have the THC! symbol on them. We have had so many new policies for edibles and just product in general... packaging is a big one. We have had to waste thousands of products due to new yearly changes. And no, when we waste something, it doesnt just get to go to all us budtenders for free. We are legally not allowed to have them.

Products that no longer apply to the current legalities have to be destroyed. It is a sad thing to watch, but you get used to it. We have to mix them with something like a 50% mix of bleach and soil to prevent the waste from being used again, too. 

Admittedly, Califoria have had the most lax packaging for their products. I dont know if it has changed since Recreational started up, but their medical stuff was sometimes just story interpretations of Reese's PB Cups and Sour Patch Kids. 

But i repeat, all products now are specifically created to avoid being appealing to kids.

I love MDMA but there's definitely a reason why a drug with clear marketing towards children has cultivated a culture that is heavy in pedophilia.
