Where are the cries of free speech? This is an actual real life violation of censorship, not someone on the internet calling you a bigot and you guys are cool with it?

If you really believed that all lives matter we wouldn't need to say black lives matter

But they ARE allowed to speak however they want. They will just lose federal funding if they go against the order. That order was put in by Reagan, rescinded by every democrat, and reinstated by every republican. I personally don't think federal money should go to any "family planning". I think it should be a state, not federal thing. But then again, being a "classicist republican", I think almost all things should be left to the states, not the federal government.

Here's a counterpoint:

"Longtime employees at three of the agencies — including some career environmental regulators who conceded that they remained worried about what President Trump might do on policy matters — said such orders were not much different from those delivered by the Obama administration as it shifted policies from the departing White House of George W. Bush. They called reactions to the agency memos overblown. On Wednesday, Douglas Ericksen, a spokesman for the E.P.A., said that grants had been only briefly frozen for review, and that they would be restarted by Friday."

Wonder what Smack has to say about your new take on the importance of free speech. Enjoy cherry picking your rage du jour. I'm going with the flow.

and yet, you are constantly cheering about how the federal government is gonna do the things you want done.

I hope... at least.

And most of my hopes are aimed at the federal government doing things like loosening regulations, control, and power. A long shot since those in power tend to not want to lose what they have.

^This^

However, http://www.snopes.com/2017/01/.....nts-frozen here's the Snopes article on the EPA.

The first issue has just as much to do with free speech as me politely asking people not to be assholes on here. Which is to say, it has absolutely fuckin nothing to do with it whatsoever. The second one however, while technically legal, is super fuckin scary and teeters on an actual free speech issue. Enough for people to actively do something about it.

https://www.epa.gov/enforcement

There's all kinds of useful info on their site, including what you can do in your community to help the effort, which is more important than the agency itself.

If you want news from a variety of sources, allsides.com posts articles about the same topics from left, center, and right points of view. It's obviously not going to be a perfect rating system, but it is a good way to get another point of view.
