Mexico is not a “race”. The U.S. is not a “race”. Many people with diverse ancestral backgrounds live both here and there.

In many multi-national sporting events, both the participants and the fans disparage the opposing nation. Nothing to do with “race”.

I continue to hear many people confuse what they call “race” with nations or even language. They are not the same.   

This is a whitsle blowing technique. Everyone knows that it means “people who LOOK Mexican don’t belong here” but it isn’t literally taken that way so they can get away with it.

I know you take things literally, and I can appreciate that, but a lot of people will take that as “anyone who is Latino looking doesn’t belong here.”

Honestly I wish people took things as literally as you.
