they dont have a platform to put em in. or rather, they do, but we got em well outclassed.you can bet that every russian ssbn [every ssbn worldwide, actually] has an american attack sub sitting on it, just out of detection range.
its nice to know that your warheads will detonate, that is important. but it helps you very little if the birds never leave the ocean.
also, last i looked, the bulk of russias nuclear force was still largely either fixed silos, or mobile launchers tied to the railways. both are much simpler to counterforce.
How are they outclassed?? All NATO has are subs with ICBM same as Russia, and the Battleships with jets that carry nothing but cruise missiles equipped the same as Russia has.
Russia has the North Pole and not a single American sub will go near there.
China has fixed silos with the largest hidden stockpile on earth. Russia is on their side and they’re mobile now.
I’ll still remind you this ain’t the cold war anymore, and China were the first nation on earth to ever shoot a satellite down.

You’re my favorite poster on here, Scruffy…so I’m not arguing for the sake of arguing like most do here.
I’m only posting facts and not an opinion. I would like to avoid this but only one side is instigating it, and it isn’t Russia or China….fact!
Russia can nuke you and me from space….no opinion required…

No anti-missile system on earth can counter a decoy attack like this….so good luck to NATO trying to surround Russia… Want to see a video of the latest Russian launches that have nuclear equipped missiles deflecting missiles launched at them???

i dont count internet videos as facts, they are just internet videos. get into the military trades, if you wanna know about warfighting.
theres more than a few flaws, fact-wise, with what you were saying.
anyway, i dont wanna get into that, i wanna mention sumn you said before, that i forgot to talk about.

this point is very noteworthy, and a quiet cause for panic concern in the back rooms.
what im worried will happen, is that a hypothetical wwiii will kick off, from the first second, with the most absurdly huge cyberbattle you can imagine. the consequences of that can spin off in any direction.
for example, what happens if the tanks roll across the various borders an hour after everybody on the planet with a street address realizes that their net worth is now zero? how interested is the average citizen [from any country] gonna be in a shooting war, if the first they hear about it is when they are told they cant buy food anymore? or if the power goes off, and stays off? or if, or if, or if…
this kind of unpredictability, is what bugs me about a true modern/future war campaign. americans, in particular, are too quick to kill each other, to be put under those kinds of stresses.
shit, if it came to a nuclear exchange, id probably never know it. i live right next to a secondary target. given the cep of a russian or chinese rv, its likely to land right on my driveway.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

that sounds like a very good movie, and a genius terrorist plot. just making everyone kill eachother over greed and panic
if you can find a way to pay for it, ill direct the hell out of it.
[edit] uh, the movie that is, not a terrorist plot. you can direct your own plots.
[edit post script] but yeah, movie plots or terror plots aside; the first notice we are probably gonna get, in the event of true world war iii, is when the internet suddenly blinks out for good. followed by our phones. followed by our money, followed by…
you get the drift.
