Not to be a whataboutist but Christianity isn't much better. The bible literally says that women are cursed to serve men because of Eve's deception and historically Christianity has done the same shit with witch burnings and etc. Misogyny is deeply rooted in many cultures and if radical Christianity ever took over we wouldn't be much different from them.

But if you looked at Iran prior to the revolution they weren't anything like that culturally. They were a lot like us. Unfortunately corruption fueled their xenophobia towards the "Americanization" of Iran (sound familiar?) and a revolution was started which left them to be governed by radical conservative Muslims that had been bubbling up and spreading the fear of Iran being Americanized.

All this to say that cherry picking the shittiness of Islam from the rest of the shitty misogynistic religions and cultures is kind of Islamaphobic.

Yeah, Christianity is just as bad.

I AM the one that never shuts up about Christianity being horrible. I was LITERALLY a Satanist. This is deadass the first time on this sub I brought up one and left alone the other. I know smack is a hypocrite, but I'm not.

In Christianity, if a woman is raped and she is not married or engaged she has to marry her rapist, and the bible treats like a burden on him. 

Women are also essentially owned by their fathers and later their husbands.

They are not permitted to teach a man anything, and no that was NOT limited to just in the church, that is a fucking lie, it was a blanket statement. 

The list goes on. 

I almost felt like I didn't even have to say it, because I've said it so many fucking times.

Some day I wanna make comparison of all the horrible shit each book has said about women, and have a contest to see which is more misogynistic.

I honestly don't know much about Zionists. Or Isreal at all. I feel like nobody is immune to criticism, but I just know nothing about them to criticize.

The irony of people with dual citizenship voting for a border wall is hilarious, but like I said, I know nothing about that, can't really comment on it.

Oh also if anybody is interested in pre revolution / early revolution Iran there's a fantastic comic called Persepolis. It's an autobiography of the artist / writer growing up in Iran and watching her world change over night. Eventually she moves to Europe but the stuff about Iran is pretty fascinating and the writing and art are stunning. 

It was turned into a film, too.

I don't like Jews cheap assholes they bought a building off my family and did everything they could to evict everyone living there and then jumped the rent 3 times.

a family was there 22 years and were only paying $610 a month and now the rent for the same unit is $2100.

that's just pure greed in my opinion the building was already profitable when they bought it
