Wow, did i like this movie. Maybe a little too much.
Im not a comic book fan nor do i keep up with the back stories of characters.
Is this the actual story of what happened to make Joker or is it a new philosophy?
Zombieland Double tap was also pretty good.
Yeah bitches, im that short gentleman mentioned in that youtube video.
And the very nice, level headed guy from that other youtube video.

in the comics the joker never got a name nobody ever knew his name
in the 1989 movie they named him Jack Napier that was also his name in the animated series but in the comics he still never had a name
he turned into the joker when he fell into a bunch of chemicals
also he is not Bruce Wayne's older brother
so the movie did change a whole lot

The hit piece out on this movie kind of proves it's point.
I get how it may become iconic for the incel community how ever these people making it about that are just trying to generate controversy for their article to get clicks.
The movie was obviously about mental illness and how we treat it along with how we tend to treat each other in a hyper competitive capitalist government where the number 1 concern will always be self interest over our own people.
As much as some people don't want to hear this, I do believe that mental illness is the biggest problem behind mass shootings and I've said this since 2012. That doesn't mean Johnny Rebel's border shooting or Q cult memebers' mailing bombs to Democratic candidates isn't domestic terrorism inspired Trump's fascist rhetoric. It's both.
Luckily the message seems to actually resonate with people and they aren't buying into this bullshit narrative the media is trying to bait a reaction with.

So the joker was a one off that just stuck? He became the super villain?
I got into comic books for about 2 years, at a young age, then became uninterested, the storyline of Spawn had too many foes. Until the violator showed up. Then he became the super villain that the movie gave props to.
I totally dig the 'mentally ill' Joker over the 'fall into chemicals' Joker. Even though i dispise Joaquin Phoenix, the movie was so much more enjoyable when he had the face paint on. The laugh was also terrible. I believe i only watched one of his movies, Gladiator. Hes not a very convincing actor.
He was not Bruce Waynes older brother. His mother was also mentally ill and fabricated the story. He also didnt sleep with the lady from Deadpool. That was his own mental illness.
Have you watched it sober yet?
Excellent flick. Its a good go to when youve finally had enough. Id def watch it again.

Not exactly. Joker was created as the Joker in the 1940s, he was basically the joker we know now, just without backstory. It was later added that he had been a stoog for the red hood gang.
He was originally never given a back story because comics weren't really that deep until later.
In the 80s, Alan Moore took a very skeletal origin story and beefed it up with the killing joke. But the story about the red hood gang predates his story.
I liked how Gotham did the joker and gave him a bunch of origins so you don't know which one is "real". Same with the dark knight movie.

Its all in the writer/directors perspective, i can appreciate this version. Its understandable, relateable, i get where the Joker is coming from if this was the origin.
Bruce Wayne has always come from money, in every story. Daddy buy me this syndrome. Id like to see Batman still be Batman, having grown up like Joker.
Nevermind im sure there are more of those stories than the likes of the low embracing being the low.
BUT, thats why i feel im Juggalo.

I havent watched either of these. Im an internet nerd, phone-y, pirate, wi-fi bandit. I slightly fear watching "Her". If Alexa had a sexy voice id have to do a lot more laundry. Tide pods, dryer sheets, water bill. Ya feel me?
Walk the line, ive got nothing. Its a Johnny Cash story right? I should watch it, as well as the newer Queen and Elton John movies.
I could be watching tv right now but im stuck on listening to my machine run and playing with my phone. Most movies arent enthralling enough. Im too quick with a hit or miss vote.
Have you seen the new "It Chapter Two" yet? I seen a YouTube video that says its more like the book. Poasibly more up your alley.
