BIG FUCKIN’ HOODOOYo hahaha, I gotta tell ya. ICP helped produce Big Hoodoo’s first album and I helped write some hooks and maybe a couple lyrics. No different than all of Psychopathic’s artist debut albums. We like to get in there and help produce that first album to help with the direction we hope this artist will continue in. From everybody, I could list them all, we always like to help with that first album. It’s tradition. Hoodoo is always exploding with ideas so I knew he would be totally fine in the studio, in charge of everything on his own for his new shit. But I had no idea how in effect and how driven and in control he really was. We did the first album and then we went off doing our own thing and time goes by. Tours go by. Suddenly after maybe a year of doing shows and tours together and just kicking it here and there while we’re both off doing our own thing, suddenly he hands me a CD and he's like "Here it is. It’s done. Asylum." I was geeked and surprised as fuck to get it, but I had been working with Otis and Joey with our new artist so that’s all I had been listening to lately. Finally about 3 days go by and I'm taking my kids over to visit with my mom and I got a long drive so suddenly Im thinking “HOODOO ASYLUM”. I popped it in not knowing what to expect. I had been needing a haircut but by the time I got to my mom's I needed Hair Club For Men BADLY. Because my wig had been blown all over the car. And I looked like Bozo The Clown with bad combover. That fuckin' album KILLS!!! He schooled the living shit outta that fuckin' entire project from album concept, to individual song concepts, to the slamming ass beats and production, the special fuckin' guests are all put in there perfectly and it's not all chock full of guest; he's got just the right amount. Hoodoo has a really fuckin good album dropping at Gathering 17. You guys are gonna dig that shit!

can anybody read the last name on that flyer? The closest I can get is it kinda looks like Rozz williams but that the letters don't line up for that exactly so it might be misspelled? Google tells me thats the name of the singer from Christian Death, which seems like a weird person for hoodoo to tour with.

Eh I can deal with that many special guest I guess lol. I'm just not to crazy about how Tech for example has like 4 guest features on like every track.

I don't think you're in the minority. If I remember correctly, many FLH members were feeling Crystal Skull. The problem I think then to now, as I've said before, was the wait in between records with no new material minus a track here or there or some Hav Knots stuff. I really dug his first release, but cannot say I'm excited for Asylum as that excitement waned off probably around this time last year.
